I've been on weight watchers for the past few years but started to find it really restricitve and got fed up with counting points and measuring my food. I decided to switch to Slimming World and spent last week following the plan to the letter. Unfortunately i had already planned to go for afternoon tea (sandwiches, scones & cakes etc) on the day of my 2nd weight so when i weighed in i had actually put on half a pound. I was totally mortified and told them that i had been for afternoon tea to which they looked a bit disapproving. I'm really worried about going back this week incase i haven't lost any weight again. I have genuinely stuck to the plan 100% and have only eaten 59 syns. My worry is that because i only have a bit to lose (9.5lbs) that slimming world won't work because i can eat so much free food. Please can somebody put my mind at rest?? :eek:

The plan works regardless of how much you have to lose so don't worry. As someone here said recently, nobody would ever get to target if people stopped losing as they got nearer target, so your 9.5 lbs is definitely loseable.

Try not to skimp on your syns. They are part of the plan so you need them to be doing the plan successfully. Ignore any disapprovers at your group. You are doing this for YOU, not their approval. They were probably just jealous of your scones :p

I joined on my first week changing from ww and could only do it for 4 days I did lose 2lbs however the fact is that u hav joined and not given up x go for it x u have to have a life x good luck

Hi there I have just switched over from ww to sw and this is my second week and I haven't lost a lb!!! I'm sticking to the plan to the T and can't understand it, is it just the sudden change in diet from weight watchers to slimming world??? Am gonna stick with slimming world for another wk and if no good result next wk then I will have to go back to ww reluctantly!!! My sister, mother in law and friends are all doing great on sw but have been doing it for months now, dunno what's happening with me, though I do only have approx 7-10lb to lose! Please advise!!!!
