Total Wally .. cried in KFC :(

#1
Good afternoon hope everyone is having a fab sunday :)

We had a fab day planned , took the kids swimming this morning which was lovely then the plan was for me to drop hubby and the kids at KFC whilst I did the big food shop , then pick them up .. well the kids both fell asleep in the car , so hubby ended up sitting in the car with the kids whilst I did the shopping . When i had finished the kids had woken up and were hungry , so we then went to KFC

KFC is one of my fave treats and I love it which . is why I wanted them to go whilst I was shopping . But no , I ended up in there watching them all eat ther yummy chicken ,, and hubby even left an amazing looking piece of chicken , with the nicest looking skin , and he kept saying that I should eat it as 'isnt chicken ok now and then ' ??? grrrrr So embarrassing to say that I actually cried ( not a lot just a few tears ...) and felt such a failure . Its not that I wanted to eat it ( although I did ) I am just so ashamed that it came to this and I cannot even go out and eat with my family ...why cant I just eat like a normal person and not get so huge :( :(

soory ladies , just feeling really sorry for myself today .. and now I have a toad in the hole in the oen , another meal I love :(

Awww - it's OK to totally feel weak at somepoint - you're only human.
Well done for resisting, just think how much happier you'll be when you're nice and skinny! :Dxx

Hey don't beat yourself up, looking at your stats, you have done so well! You will need to battle these feelings about food sometime or other especially now you are so close to target.

Hey honey

Because you have such "pleasure" associations with KFC it was always going to be difficult so well done you for getting through it. Maybe next time though drop them off and go for a walk? Anything not to sit there.. I think you may be expecting just too much of yourself to expect yourself to sit through that (or similar experiences) again.

As for you OH - brain him ;)! He must understand that KFC chicken is not what is meant when you tell him that chicken is OK.

Now for a bit of rigorous honesty - you questioned why you can't eat like a normal person (I presume you mean naturally slim?) and not get big??? That's because none of us "eat" like a "normal" people; if we didn't we wouldn't have had to do CD. "Normal" people eat everything in moderation, enjoy their treats etc but they are not pre-occupied with food and they stop eating when they feel full. To them food is associated with hunger only. Hopefully through this journey we will learn those beliefs too but in the meantime part of our "recovery" from being overweight is accepting our history with food and taking responsibility it.

So as I said above... focus on the positive .. you stuck to your guns... you got a little upset (naturally considering the stress you were putting yourself under) but you didn't give in!!!

Well done you!
