    Sticky I will succeed!!!

Well WI went badly last night - STS. Ok, so STS isn't the end of the world. But I've had two really good weeks. I couldn't go to group last week so didn't have an official WI but did one at home which said I lost 1lb (1.5lbs but my scales are more friendly than SW). I didn't count it as I only count official WIs, but I was hoping for a 1-2lbs last night.

Anyway, last week was a normal SW week for me food wise. I've been a bit more strict this week and not gone over 10syns any 1 day. I posted about whether I was being too restrictive and took everyone's advice to up my food intake, so for the last few days it's been pretty much normal food intake but no treats (i.e. didn't have any treats choccies or crisps like I may usually).

We've been doing DIY so been active - I even cut out my diet pops to help with bloaty feeling.

I was gutted at group and my C checked my diaries and said they looked good (she said two days this week were probably too low on food like you guys said) but nothing that was the reason. She thinks it might be my tablets from the doctor which I started on Wednesday last week - but I dunno. Seems a bit of a cop out reason???

She said to ride the storm and see how I get on this week so we'll see.

I've been planning ahead for this week ahead and am going to give it 110% and keep the exercise up.

I am hoping it's just a 'phase' after a period of steady weight losses and trying to be positive but it's hard.

Sorry for the rant...just feeling really frustrated. But I want to end this thread on a positive note...so here goes.

Though I feel like poo today, I KNOW SW works and I KNOW I can ride this out until I am losing again. I WON'T let this deter me and I WON'T give up. I've worked too hard getting my weight down towards my 'normal' range and I won't let this set back spoil this. I know I cannot change what's happened and I know there will be an explanation so I know I need to draw a line under the past 6 weeks, take into account things haven't been right with me (I've been diagnosed with stress induced IBS) and keep at it.

So I will try wipe my tears away and look forwards - what else can I do?

    Thanks for listening xoxox

I bet you will be surprised with a big loss next week. Our bodies are so complicated and always surprise us. Even if you havent lost actual fat, you have fed your body very well last week, and would have definitely imporved your health, which can only be a good thing!

    (((big hugs)))

Really feel for you, have been there more times than I care to remember. You have exactly the right attitude in perservering along the road though, well done for that, and hopefully you will see an extra good result at next week's WI. As said above at least you have been really healthy, just keep on plodding on its the only way to get to those goals x

Awwww. If you're cutting out the diet drinks, make sure you drink enough water - That's the only advice I can think of, because drinking lots does help. Other than that... ((HUG)).

    Awww Christina!!! *hugs*
I wrote you a big long reply and then did something stupid on my computer and lost it all. Grr at myself!

What I wanted to say was…’THAT’S THE SPIRIT’!! :)
I know what you’re going through as I’ve been there myself, very recently. But your attitude is totally the right one.

You’ve been doing all the right things with syns and free foods and exercise. It’s so frustrating and de-motivating when you do the right things and nothing happens, but don’t forget that the things your body is going through (IBS is an unpredictable affliction, and stress does the weirdest things to the body) will no doubt have an affect on your body’s ability to shed weight. It’s probably in some sort of panic mode! And don’t forget that sometimes increased exercise can hinder your losses too, as your body clings onto fuel for storage. Not always though, and not for long. You’ll tone up too, which is nice.

The temptation is to say to yourself “well, I’m not losing weight eating good stuff, so I’m going to just eat the bad stuff anyway!” but you aren’t doing that, and that takes amazing strength!

You’ve come a long way – although you’re not at target, you’re not far off it, and your body is pretty much at a healthy weight now. I bet you look amazing.

Keep that positive frame of mind and eventually things will sort themselves out.

    Positive vibes lass x
