Turkish Lemon Soup

1 cup of red lentils
Half a cup of rice

1 onion
Chicken stock made with Bovril

Juice of one or two lemons according to taste

Finely chop the onion and cook in a little water until it softens.

Add the rice and lentils.

Cover with water and add the Bovril or herbs.

Also add the lemon juice.

Leave to cook, you can keep adding water and the rice and lentils absorb it.

Cook until the lentils and rice are soft and cooked.

Just add more water if you want more later and if it has soaked it all up.
