Hi, I'm new to the site. I've lurked on an off for a while but I thought I'd go the whole caboodle and register.
I'm hoping to lose a stone and a half to get back to a more sensible weight. I don't have any excuses for why my weight has crept up, I just kept my eye off the ball and on the chippy menu over the last couple of years.
So yeah, um, hi and stuff

Welcome to the site and I'm sure that you will do fine. It's making the decision to start the diet that's one of the hardest steps and I think coming on here and telling everyone what you are aiming for will spur you on to succeed.

HI. I too lurked around as a visitor for a couple of weeks while i was trying to research different eating plans. then decided to take the plunge and join in just over a week ago. I had a look at some of the photos people have posted on and was just so inspired !

Hello! Im Also a Newb!
I Starting Lighter Life last Tuesday!
I Gave it up about a year ago, with unsupportive friends and so on. Plus it wasnt the time, however this time im RARING (<- however u spell it..) to go!
Hope it goes well. Im looking to loose a fair bit. However not sure, id rather see what looks good then decide! :)

Thanks for the messages of support. That's really kind. I think I will follow slimming world - my mum was a member and I have all her stuff. It worked quite well for her. I don't think I'd like the meetings though. I hate talking to people about my weight, I find it really embarassing :ashamed0005: (hence the online option!)
