Vanilla essence

I use vanilla essence and chocolate essnence in my rice pudds and egg custards I have always assumed this if free of syns

But was told today it was not can someone please confirm wehter or not it is or isnt

As far as I'm aware, food colouring, essence and flavourings are free.

I had run out of yoghurts and fancied something sweet after my lunch.

I did have some fromaige frais so mixed it with some chocolate essense, sweetner and a dash of lemon juice and it was lovely.

And it if its all syn free it tastes even better
