Veggie amount allowed??

Hi,

According to the booklet on SS+ I can have 2 tablespoons of the nominated veg with my protein.

Is this really all that is allowed - I mean that is 2 sprigs of broccoli for instance!

Can anyone tell me what volume IS acceptable as it hardly seems worth it!!

I personally wish that the amount was quoted in grams, what is a handful after all???? Small hands and large hands.

I just have those kitchen ladel things, its a fair bit once on the plate, dont stress to much though wont hurt if you have slightly too much its just good practice to be strict with weights.

Yeah but the booklet doesn't stipulate weight (as it does with the meat) - if it did I'd be laughing!!

in my first two weeks when I was on SS+ i ate two pieces of brocolli - didnt care if they were big or small...and still lost!
Then I moved to CD1000 and its a pain in the neck and I put one 1lb on!
So next week will go back to SS+

Yep, i am cooking my first 40gram portion of whole wheat fusilli pasta. The packet is gonna last me a lifetime. Hubby thinks it will swell up and fill me.
In my dreams!!!!!!:giggle:
It is no wonder i got fat. I had a completely different idea of portions, before CD.
If i put on weight after my first week of 1000CD, i'm gonna scre:eek:am

Pasta??? Blimey I am on day 3 of SS+ gonna be a long time til I get to that point!!

Had my broccoli ( 3 trees) with a chicken breast in a bowl of chicken and mushroom soup - Yummy!

Think it is gonna take time to get my head round this - harder than I thought. I haven't even had my first weigh in yet, not sure how I am gonna lose any at this rate.....

I agree. The veg amount is so ambiguous.
But i was really gob-smacked when i weighed out my 40 grams allowance of dry wholemeal pasta for my 1000CD level which i am on. Nearly the end for me.
But after cooking, i have to admit the portion did look a bit better.
Even took a photo to send a friend for a joke and here i am posting it.

Jesus, me too! Having said that for a pasta and rice buff I am not really missing it?? My cravings are crusty bread and cheese... GOD I hate doing the kids lunches!!
