Vibrating Excercise Machine

Has anyone tried one of these machines? They seem to good to be true dont they ? I have been looking into it but not sure about them - any advice please?

They work by forcing your muscles to contract rapidly hundreds of times as you try to keep your balance.

As a means of real exercise they are again another fad and won't do anything to help you gain strength or lose fat.

However, one use for them is for your cool down. Placing different muscles on the machines can help stimulate them (a bit like a vibrating chair feels nice on your back!)

But again, don't be fooled by any claims the people behind these gimmicks make. All these machines and gizmos are designed to make exercise EASIER.

If an exercise is easier it requires less effort.

The less effort you put in the less calories you will burn.

Simple as that. Nothing beats good hard work and a suitable diet.

i had a go on one (powerplate i believe they're called) and it's not bloody easy lol!

plus it made my ears feel all funny - i got a wierd sort of vertigo and got all dizzy. wasn't very nice.

anywho, some people like it :)
