Vic Vodkas dieting rollercoaster - back to it!!!!

You'd better not go anywhere! It's true sometimes, doing a low fat diet, the thought of some of the fat allowed in Atkins is appealing, but I know my muffins wouldn't be allowed(!) so that's another reason for staying here for me!

I think with both Atkins and Dukan, the stabilisation issues are the same... so whichever suits your food tastes/lifestyle better...

yum yum - unfortunately I don't think my belly would cope with the fat if I ate for real:cry:
there isnt that much fat if you dont want it.
I just cannot cannot cope with low fat mayo tastes like sugar and i never noticed before who sweet everything is - its awful!

I don't think I've ever had low fat mayo! hihi!

yes but I do want it - I want sausages and cheese.

down with bumbarb!!

really? its not nice at all. in fact all low stuff is sweet :(

I don't buy any of that stuff... making it yourself certainly doesn't make it sweet... is it "bought in" stuff you're talking about?

I don't get why Atkins has to be high fat? Its not what the good Dr advocated he just said you need a level of fat in yr diet to burn the fat. Its a balance of high proteins & some fats which helps keep yr kidneys in better nick!!

I never ate a load of fat on Atkins I just couldn't stomach it. You buy full fat mayo etc because of the amount of sugars in low fat stuff.x

thanks Linz. I think the only fatty stuff is the cheese and cream if you use it and the mayo isnt it?
oh and the butter.

I haven't tried atkins :) thought about ww/sw....conclusions... ww I would overindulge - easier to cut out stuff than to have a little :S....

sw....too complicated (at least on the face of it)....don't fancy learning another "system" of dieting....

:)....result...back with my dukan

and the fry ups...

but you can grill the sausages and bacon jo :D
Linz how much mayo and butter you allowed per day i know the cheese and cream!

I found with WW that I could eat almost point free and then use my points for cr*p so that wasn't healthy... or exercise more and use my points on cr*p (which is also what I see a lot of WW people doing...). Maybe that works for some people.

With SW being the exact opposite to Dukan, I'd not fancy moving from one to the other, but I've done it before (jacket potatoes and baked beans for lunch, yum!)...

Like Atkins and Dukan, they keep changing the rules. I'm sure it's to improve the diet... (or is it to sell the new books? cynical me?????)

Anyway all diets work...

All we have to do is stick to them!

no i agree with you jo. (she says eating a curly wurly) sw i couldnt get away with at all. WW are bringing a new diet out this week i believe

see food... or sea food...

and the fry ups...

Atkins doesn't make you HAVE to have a fry up! I had natural yogurt for my breakfasts... its peoples connotations on it that make it seem unhealthy. Yes you can have a 'fry' up but it doesn't have to be fried (nothing wrong with dry frying in a good pan) I do think people look at it & take it to extremes & because they don't have to count calories its taken as a licence to have a tons of sausages, eggs, bacon etc for brekkie.

As long as you count yr carbs properly the majority of yr food should be vegetables & protein, infact I'm sure there are guidlines as to portion sizes of protein at each meal too.

Its like every diet, if you read it & do it properly it will work... if you add yr own twists into it it doesn't!
