Hello girls... the one problem with leaving on holiday is that... people want you to do next week's work THIS week!

(oh and I forgot to do end June billable hours' statistics, remembered last night late, so thought I'd better do it... no one's asked, but thought my name might be mud if someone realises while I'm out!!)...

but I'm here now!!

What's this DRUG you're all on (and how can I get it, and will I lose more weight???!) hihi!

Oh and Ditzee... I'm really glad you're sticking to it! Many a time after a bad weigh in have I just thought "sod it! might as well eat!"

I'm going to go for weekly weigh ins once I move off Dukan - NB not out of this forum though!! I used to do what I called in my signature "Best of Dukan + fruit!" Maybe that's where I'll go next!

I need to Vicky... I'm sticking with it for now, because I feel "safe and comforted" in ketosis and it controls my food behaviour... but look at my signature... My body is too used to this and isn't responding any more... and this isn't the first time I've got to this weight and stuck...

Ironically, this morning I weighed 71.1K... the exact weight I weighed when I first started Dukan in November 2007! Not his fault I regained mind you!!

Yes until those wrong test results I was bang on track & since then I've been all over the place.. trying to count cals, fat & carbs.. this time I'm only counting carbs as per Atkins proper!! Its far more sociable.. can manage it into my camping, weekends etc! And it suits me the best!!

Oh no.. the nuts rush before a holiday... makes you need a holiday all the more doesn't it!

Not sure it helps totally with weightloss but is meant to help with energy levels!

are you going to have a think over your holidays what you want to do??? I just need to get myself to goal and then NOT go woo ive lost the weight dont need to do anything anymore. I must do phase 3! I must re read the book again. Apparently there are exercises in it (needless to say I am still on my first read and havent finished the exercise bit yet!)

Linz good for you. have you thought anymore about your WLS? or you gonna keep on with atkins?

ooh thats not long is it. If you say lost another 40lbs before the op came round would be still go for it?
 
fantastic ! do you think it will completely change you eating habits? can you still eat cheese and stuff afterwards? sorry I dont know that much about it
 
Linz - can I just ask one cheeky question - and you certainly don't have to answer it... just maybe "think on it"?

Are you ok with the fact that you may never again be able to eat a blow out meal, say, at Christmas? That's what I couldn't get my head round, when WLS was suggested at one point to me - in fact, while losing my weight, I was asked several times whether I had a gastric band!

Re your diabetes... if you were to lose the weight "naturally", might there be incidental benefits to your diabetes too? (or not!)...

Just a couple of things which popped into my mmind


Vicky have a lovely weekend - I've been thinking on the "next bit" since starting this diet in May, so I've got some ideas, but need to stay focussed on this else I could lose the plot. I regularly tell myself that I lost weight without ketosis on my own before, so why not now? Hmm... (ok I was a smoker, and now I'm not... so if I need another crutch, well... let walking be it!!)

Jo - have a wonderful wonderful holiday and some piccies of the festivites on wednesday would be great :D enjoy!!!

and im sure you will come up with something hon to keep the weight loss going :D
