waist size measurement

I haven't taken much notice of my waist size before - more focused on BMI - but I did before and after measurements with the 30 day shred and have just found this on the NHS website:

You have a higher risk of health problems if your waist size is:

  • more than 94cm (37 inches), if you’re a man
  • more than 80cm (31.5 inches), if you’re a woman
Your risk of health problems is even higher if your waist size is:

  • more than 102cm (40 inches), if you’re a man
  • more than 88cm (34.5 inches), if you’re a woman

My BMI is now in the healthy range but I have only just dropped to 34 inches which means tht I am in the top end of the first band of higher risk according to this. - Thank goodness I am not in the even higher risk band any more.

I wonder should I keep losing until my waist is 31.5"? or can I do something else in particular to shift fat from my waist?

Thanks - looks like more hard work then!
