Well after last weeks horrible gain I managed to lose 3.2lbs this week. It's been a horrible struggle though, for some reason I'm constantly ravenous. I've been keeping a very close eye on my carbs and reduced the tfrs back down to 3 or 4 a day and started using more LT as the Exante has more carbs . Not sure if my ketostix are giving false negatives but despite being under 50g carbs per day I'm apparently not yet in ketosis after 8 days o.o not fair!

I recalculated my weightloss prediction for my trip and if I continue losing just 2lbs a week I'm not going to make it to goal before refeed so this has got me down. I need a little appetite suppression [email protected] it!

Anyway, going for 90lbs off next week, fingers crossed I can stay strong.

Well done on the 3lbs, and good luck for next week, hope you get to a 90lb loss!! I have no idea what to say about the rest of it as i am 100% on LT and have no idea how the others work, but good luck anyways :)

Hey cookeh, when is your trip girlie & when are you starting refeed ? will you disappointed if you dont get to 140lb, you probably look fantastic right now !! Im only aiming for 154 & your taller than me, that still leaves me with 23lbs to loose & i'm refeeding in two weeks, scary, im hoping to loose the rest before Im bridesmaid in july, I dont think 3-4 lbs a month with W.W. is too ambitious !!

Trose - my trip is end of May but apart from this week I generally only lose 2lbs a week which would take me right into the week of departure! Yeah, to be honest, I probably would feel disappointed if I didn't make it as I've had several slips which have slowed down my progress so I'd feel like I let myself down.

I was bad yesterday too :( so down and just constantly starving I had more tfrs again, increasing my carbs -.- trying to start over today.

I've no idea what's happened to me these last few weeks, just can't seem to get back in the groove =\

Cookeh well done on the loss. You are being too hard on yourself. Trose is right, look at a few photos to see just how fab you look now. Your goal is ambitious and I think you should be very happy to be at whatever weight you end up at when refeed date comes along.
Keep going, you will get there.

Doing this from my phone so sorry if it's brief. Check out the GL forum on here on minimins. I have diary there too , the links are in my signature.
Also Nigel Denby has a nice common sense book on it called GL diet made easy. I like Patrick Holford too but he is more detailed on the science bit of it.
In simple terms keep bread potato pasta and rice at a minimum. Substitute these with lentils, beans, rye, oatcakes. The less processed your food is the better it is for you.
I love GL as I never feel hungry once I eat the right foods.

Come on Cookeh, you can do this, you know you can, I know you can! You are so close, don't give up, picture yourself at your target weight, close your eyes and 'feel' it.......imagine going into a shop and just picking up any size 12's off the racks and them fitting!

If this helps.....I was in London yesterday and had decided to buy some new jeans, something that I haven't done for years. Well even the size 14's looked incredibly small so I asked for some help and the lovely assistant disappeared and came back with several styles for me to try, I'd asked for 14's cos of what they looked like but she brought me some 12's too and, guess what? All the 14's were much too big and I ended up buying a size 12.......honestly it felt almost better than sex! I am going to admit that I actually hugged the assistant! She was lovely but she must've thought that I was bonkers, I had a great big grin all day:D next time that I want to eat something that I shouldn't I'm just going to remember what yesterday felt like......

Thanks for the support ladies I'm doing better. On my 3rd totally 100% day even though Im literally starving. I just keep thinking about my trip, I really want to get to goal and refeed which I can just about do if I get my head down.

Sandra well done on those 12s, how wonderful. Sadly the opposite happened to me yesterday. Went to Trafford Centre and decided I'd go into normal shops for the first time and try on some 12s and 14s. My jeans from Asda and Tesco are 12s and fit nicely. Anyway was gutted that neither fitted, not even close :( really put me on a downer actually although I didn't cheat. I guess this last 2 stone I want to lose really will make all the difference.

Cookeh, jeans are the worst indicator of true size, don't worry! You have done so well, and stuck it out for so blinking long I'm not surprised you got a bit complacent and strayed, but your back on track and still one of my inspirational miniminers, you will do this x and Sandra, swit swoo on the 12's you sexy thing! Cookeh good news on ketosis. Remember the hungry feeling is partly in your mind and also habit. So try and banish the hunger thoughts. When they come, go do something and reach for the water bottle. The habit of not eating will soon return. Keep at it, you will push through.

So how do you reverse the saying 'mind over matter' ?

I do agree though Molly, I've gotten into the habit now of eating my mine course at dinner, clearing the table, filling the dishwasher and doing the pans, then asking myself if I want a pudding, usually only a yogurt anyway, and nine times out of ten I don't bother cos I feel that I've had enough? I used to just grab something out of the fridge and eat it automatically .......cos I always did.....ok so it's only 100-150 calories a day that I'm saving but over the course of a month that could be a lb!

    Stick with it Cookeh x
