    hi all

been very stressed lately and with almost 5 days with no loss and the stress of my mum my body decided to a) give me a period (on depo so this shouldn't be happening) and b) i had a mental downer and ate and had some wine friday evening after visiting her in hospital and her being totally out of it.

anyway i got straight back to it yesterday morning but my weight is not going down. i've also been drinking loads of water and coffee and think that my body is not coping well with it all and i have water retention. my fingers are like sausages and feel really tight and heavy. just sick as i really wanted to be at goal for my birthday on the 17th but think that it's just got further away. wish i could do a ss or ss+ week but at my weight i can't. :(

just feeling really sorry for myself as i seem to have lost my pre-xmas momentum and focus. the weight was flying off me then.

Good morning Great things, sorry to hear of everything that's happening to you, I am amazed you have only fallen off slightly with it all. I have been 100% since Tuesday and got weighed this morning at home and have lost about a pound. I'm not too happy as nothing solid has passed my lips. I suppose I will have to hope for a miracle before Tuesday. It does sound like water retention, I have used aquaban before which seems to work. Try to say strong and big hugs to your mum.

do you think it might be because you have so little left to lose? also, the stress is obviously having an effect on your body so maybe its that. have you thought of moving up another plan to 1000?

the worst thing about cd is no losses. so i know how you feel nikki.

Sending big :hug99: your way Xxx

This is most certainly water hun and I`m sure it`ll drop off once you`re no longer bleeding and the water from the food/wine has gone again.

Also, The less we have to lose, The slower it comes off. The last stone is always the hardest to lose and as you`re only a few lbs off, It might take slightly longer x

You WILL get there hun Xxxx

I hope things improve for your mum soon Xxx

    Love LiSe Xx

Hi hun, I hope your mum makes a speedy recovery. I also agree with the others and belive it may be water retention it hapeens to all of us at this time and it is especially not nice when we have that little bit of weight to shift. You have done great on your weight loss so far and you will loose them extra lbs to reach your goal weight. The last bit is always the hardest.

    All the best hun x

    hugs, sweety.
id leave any weighing for a week - doing it daily at this stage of re-start is discouraging, espesh as you are having a period.

    Aw, hugs xxx

I agree that you should leave the weighing for once a week. I know it's hard, but if you can you might find it less demoralising and after a week you may find you are surprised.

Secondly, maybe your metabolism has slowed down due to exercise and lack of calories. Maybe you actually need to go up a plan? Can you talk to your CDC about it?

Good Luck and hang in there xx

i've been a bit lax with exercise comparing what i used to do to now. i'm not supposed to have any bleeding on the depo and it's stopped now. think it could be stress. weigh day tomorrow and i'll be checking in with my cdc. i'd rather stay on the 810. having a break for my birthday on the 17th jan a week tomorrow, i'll be 37!

I would say that it`s down to stress too. Want me to ask the dr tomorrow night when I`m at clinic? (I work in a contraception clinic)

I`m going to be 39 in March :cry:
