I read that some members received an email when the forum returned? I don't think I have received a notification. Maybe many other old members didn't either and don't know the forum is back?

I certainly didn't get a message. I just stumbled on the info while doing a google search and realised that what I was seeing was recent, so I clicked on it and was delighted to see it was all up and running again. Hopefully the same will apply to others.

Hi,

I did send a mailing list however email is not 100% reliable because of spam issues, security issues etc.

Hopefully with the new software the mail server will get a better reputation. I've also upgraded that server recently too.

Paying somebody else to send the emails was prohibitively expensive for the 100k emails.(it was like a years cost of running my own mail server!! For a single mailing!!).

I'll be sending another email around the 28th of December and we will see if it performs any better.

I appreciate the feedback and learning all the time.

With a click on a link you can share your recipes, successes, ups and downs, before and after photos etc.

Also you can see we have moved MiniMins to a more modern forum software that adapts to the device that you are using i.e., such as a mobile, tablet and desktop without the need for the cumbersome third party apps.

We are acutely aware of the importance that MiniMins has to its members and we were never comfortable closing the site but due to various factors beyond our control we found ourselves in a cul-de-sac unable to move forward.

We wish to sincerely apologies to all our members and guests unreservedly and I hope the work, time and effort we have put into bringing back MiniMins with a more modern and up-to-date forum with new features and software will go some way to help heal any hurt caused.

Only just found that you are back, via a post on netmums. I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED!!!!! I was gutted when the site went, and in particular that it happened so suddenly and with no warning. I fully appreciate the reasons why that happened, and the huge amount of work that the admin team do behind the scenes. I, as I'm sure did many, felt like I had lost a huge part of my daily life! I tried joining other forums that sprang up in the wake of mini's going, but for it was just never the same. Thank you so much for reviving mins, and for the huge amount of work and effort that it must have taken to be able to move forward x
