Oh, gosh. I think my biggest breakthrough came when I stopped relying on MFP's guidelines for how many calories I should be eating. They had me down to near 1200 at one point, which is not enough for me to not feel so deprived that I just end up going on a massive binge. I use an online TDEE calculator, then make the number it suggests for weight loss my custom calorie goal on MFP. Right now I'm around 1600-1700, which is fine... most days of the month. Also, as tedious as it can be, measuring all portions is key. Especially cheese. I always think I've cut off half of what I actually have. Stupid delicious cheese.I'm doing CC now too, any tips for success? xx
I'm going to say probably 4 years? I lost a good portion of it by just walking 5 miles a day and trying to eat healthier. I didn't intend to lose weight at first, so I didn't track anything. I started with general health as the goal, which made all the difference back then, I think. I needed to see that I could lose weight, and just focusing on my health rather than any numbers took some of the pressure off. It was quite some time (and several clothing sizes) before I bought a scale and started tracking calories, etc.How long did it take you? X
