Wetherspoons?

Oh ok I'm sorry only offering an opinion from previous discussions no one told me was just a myth ( they do taste fatty to me hence stopped going there) but each to their own hope OP found your answer though

I work for a pub company(not spoonys but we use the same suppliers)
The jacket potatoes are precooked,they are very finely misted with veg oil at the factory before cooking which would slightly increase their calorific value however they are then frozen which means they have a higher water content(so what was an 7.5 oz jacket would weight 8oz for example)
the nutritional values are within a couple of kcals of a normal J.P
saying that "normal" potatoes do vary in calorific value depending on their variety so it is not an exact thing anyway.
you cannot deep fry a j.p wether to cook it or reheat it as it would explode,much deep frying an egg in its shell(don't try it its v. dangerous)
