What are Jacket Potatos?

Are "Jacket Potatos" like a Baked Potato? I love potatos so I wanted to find out more about these things...
Thanks in advance... Sorry if this seems like a silly question. I have never been outside of the USA and I have never heard of Jacket Potatos before.
Thanks in advance!

Just called Jackets because they are cooked in their skins. I don't know whether you use the word jacket in the US to mean a light coat? That's where it originates!

as others have said, exactly the same - they are traditionally done in the oven. A quick way is to almost cook them in the microwave and finish off in a hot oven. Saves both fuel and time.
