what are the best ways to stop period cravings?

Hi, I started the diet on Thurs and was doing alright until Sunday when I started craving red meat. All day Sunday I was haunted with visions of beef roast. Then yesterday I wanted chocolate so much I probably could have killed for it. Today it all made sense when my period started (had a baby 4 months ago so still all over the place with timing). Usually I would just give in to the cravings as they are really strong, but so far I haven't but am finding it hard. Does anyone have any suggestions how to overcome these cravings? Any help would be much appreciated as my will power around this time is not at its best. Thanks
