What did you have left to lose when starting re-feed?

Hi all

Well, I'm nearly at the point where I 'cross over' on a permanent basis to the big wide world of re-feeding.....eeeek!!!!

I just wondered what you guys had left to lose when you started eating again.

I've got 9lbs left to get to target and depending on what I lose this week, and the advice I get from you guys, I might start re-feed this week.

I've got a couple of do's planned for 3 weeks on the trot (30/10, 6/11 & 13/11) and although I'll be as good as gold during the week, my diet will be relaxing a little for these 3 nights. I dont want to undo what I've worked so hard on doing so thought maybe if I got to target and then lost a little more re-feeding I'd have a bit of room for leeway. I knnow at the latest I need to start refeeding next week to accomodate 30/10 do.

Any advice/comments would be greatly appreciated.

Well done on your overall loss...it is brill!

If you want to go on your "do" on 30th, then I think I would re-feed as quickly as possible...best to give yourself a good few weeks to refeed, just to get your body used to eating.

I had around 9lbs I think before refeed and losing. It is easier in some ways on the shakes and quicker, but it is nice to get back to normality and eat. I havent weighed myself officially for a few weeks but I know I havent put lots of weight on or off...I am just happy to be maintaining and trying to live as a normal person.

Really up to you, but if you reckon you are ok in your head, etc about refeeding go for it!

It is lovely eating again and being in a position to make healthy choices....although it isnt always easy and there is so much out there......shakes give you a bit of security, but once the world of food appears, well, different ball game altogether.

PS; I actually gained weight my first week of refeed, but then lost the weight and more besides on wk 2...but most people do lose...it just depends, but it isnt fat, it is just the glycogen stores....

i had 14lb to go, and i started refeeding last friday, like you i have a few things coming up the 1st date being 31/10 then 4/11 then 8/11,
i wanted to get into a routine of planning well before these dates and ready for some alcohol lol.. if you feel ready then do it hun xx

Im hoping to have no more than 10lbs to lose whilst on refeed so i am able to get to grips to losing weight the 'conventional' way and getting into the habit of eating 'right' :)

Like iris said, if your planning on going to a do on the 30th it'd be best to refeed asap really :D x

Thanks ladies. I'll see how I do in the morning at weigh in and go from there. I'm JUST into a party dress I've had for 5yrs and which has never fit me. I'm desperate to get into it and I know it'll look gorge in about 7lbs. Decisions decisions!! I know I need to start refeed and the 1st do I have is a meal out so I can make healthy choices. I'm scared!!!!!! x
