What do you eat before weigh-in?

    Hope this hasn't been asked somewhere else but what do you all eat before weigh in? Evening weighers do you have dinner before? Or morning weighers breakfast? How long before?

    I'm morning and I have a HiFi bar which is my usual breakfast, about an hour before then after weighing I drink lots of water.
    When I was an evening weigher not having dinner effected me more after weigh in, being so hungry, have a week to get it off, id eat everything then find it hard to get back on plan.

    Hello:) I weigh evening and I'm pretty much nil by mouth after 2pm. I weigh at 7.30pm. If I'm thirsty I will drink though. I try not to eat too heavy a meal for lunch on weigh day and dinner the night before.

    Everyone is different, some people in my group have their evening meal before they weigh. Whatever you do, just do the same every week and you'll get a true weight loss reading :)

    Hi, I weigh-in on Wednesday mornings and do not eat breakfast first (mornings are the one time of the day when I am not hungry). The previous evening I eat a meal as normal, which is pretty late, I always want it to be about 7:30pm but sometimes it is as late as 9pm. Last night, I had rice with a courgette and lentil curry (gorgeous SW recipe).

    I weighing at home, so it's pre-breakfast for me.

    As long as you do roughly the same every week it shouldn't matter whether you eat or not. The last thing I'd want to do is go hungry or get dehydrated for an artificial result at weigh in.

    I don't think it matters what you eat pre weigh in, as long as it roughly the same thing every week.

    If 1 week you eat a single apple then weigh yourself, the following week you eat Fish & Chip supper, then your results are going to be skewed.


    Personally i weigh in on an evening (tonight actually) i eat the same lunch every week on weigh in day and then have a banana bewtween finishing work and going to be weighed. I find keeping it consistent helps.

    I would love to get in the habit of having my dinner first but I just cannot bring myself to do it

    I head to a 17:30 WI straight from work so don't have time to eat, normally have a 4pm snack though!

    I weigh in at 5.30pm, so I tend to leave dinner until I get home. I usually have a snack of fruit around 3pm, but I wouldn't want to eat a big meal beforehand, I know it's personal preference but after I eat I feel heavier. I'm not sure it would make a huge difference though.

    My group is at 7.30 pm. I eat breakfast and lunch as normal, then have dinner after the meeting. We usually eat quite late anyway, so this is not a big deal for me. Like others have said, I don't think it matters what you do, as long as you do the same every week.
