    Hi All,

I'm a new poster but have been around getting hints and tips for a while. I've lost 3st 6lb so far with slimming world doing extra easy and I'm thinking ahead to when I reach my goal weight.

I've changed my target twice now and the current one is 11st 7lb (or another 8lb to go).

Can any target be your final slimming world target or does it have to be in a certain range (e.g. BMI) also what actually happens when you reach it. I've never though to ask my group leader and I though I'd ask while I was on the site.

Hi Wildwookie - you can set your target to be anything you like as far as I'm aware. Though it would be frowned upon to aim for a weight that was classified as 'underweight' according to your BMI. Once you reach target you are advised to add an additional healthy extra B choice and take it from there - if you continue to lose add another one and so on. Well done on losing so much and be so near your final target!

Thanks Krupskaya - My target would still have me in the 'overweight' BMI range so I wasn't sure if that was allowed. What happens about groups do you still pay to go but not have to go as often?

I really need to have a chat with my group leader next week.

You can set your goal to so long as it doesn't take you in underweight category as says. But it's fine in overweight category if that is what suits you. You get free membership at target so long as you are within three pounds of your target either way. Well done on your loss

I have been a target member for over 18 months. I stay at target because I still go to group EVERY WEEK. Some weeks I worry that I have gone out of range, but it's never as bad as I've feared as long as I keep going regularly
I have seen lots of members get to target. Then they stop coming and you see them again when they have gone out of the target range and want to get back. It's good to be there to support new members and see my old friends. Hope this helps xx
