Atkins Advantage Chocolate and Orange 60g bar:
Emblazoned on the front of the packet it states 1.9g Net Carbs

    But then on the back:
    Carbohydrate 17g

Which even if you subtract the fibre(5.4), still leaves 11.6g

Then there is the 15g of "Polyols"?? of which 10g is glycerine

I cant make the figures match up :hmm:

Can anybody decode this for me??

You have to subtract the polyols, mind you, you might regret eating one later as your sat on the toilet wondering what happened to your stomach. :D

Yes they are labelled up for the American market so take the net carbs stated on the front. x

I don't get a bad reaction to them and couldn't live without them. It's the flax that gets me going lol.

I'm one of the lucky ones too - with Atkins bars - but can only have two of the sugar free sweets (Barnetts, they're on the LCM website) before I'm rushing to the loo. Haven't tried Thorntons yet, they seem a bit high in carbs.

I've had the choc chip daybreak bars and i'll never buy them again. They are too nice! I think i'm best off keeping to the real foods.

James, just looking at your stats and you've done fantastically well - you know what you're at!

Susie the thorntons bars are around 2 net carbs each, and so fantastically gorgeous that they're almost worth the hour on the loo the next day. :( I eat them in halves now.
