Hi all,

Does anybody have a recipe for the white sauce for lasagne?

I am really craving lasagne at the moment.

This sauce was suggested on a lasagna recipe on the SW USA online site:

  • 2 cups/1lb 2oz fat free plain yogurt
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 level tbsp grated Parmesan
  • a pinch of nutmeg

Serves 4 and the total recipe was 1 syn, which by the looks of it is the parmesan. Haven't tried it though so no idea how it will taste!

How about using 6 "laughing cow" cheese slices (1Hea) mixed with 375mL semi skimmed milk (1Hea), add a pinch of nutmeg & a tsp english mustard.

I've used this recipe as it was in the SW Beef Lasagne recipe. I only added some parmesan to the top of the lasagne, not through the sauce. It's really tasty and my husband, who hates low fat food, is perfectly happy eating this.

Be warned, it makes loads. The recipe says that it serves 4, but we get 6 very generous portions or 4 dinner portions and 4 lunch size portion. I love Lasagna as well and it's great to be able to make a healthy version you don't need to feel guilty about. Good luck with it.
