whole chicken?

    hiya, i am having roast chicken for dinner tonight, but as its a whole chicken how can i work out the cals? as i wouldnt be able to weigh it until it was cooked? i will probably be having one of the breasts.

    I think the rule is the portion size should be the size of your fist. I hope this helps. Also, I go to google and type in "how many calories in a chicken breast" and I find lots of web sites that help me. Good luck. P.S congrats on your weight loss.:)

    thanks, i looked on the packaging though, and it had the cals for 125g of cooked chicken so was eas to work out.

    Roast Chicken has a lot more cals than a baked/grilled chicken breast!

    yeah i know, not that much more though, but if i am having breast i tend to have the frozen healthy living breasts from tesco, they are massive and are only 160 cals per oven baked breast, bargain i think.
