Hi All,

Off to the women of the year tomorrow, very scared and nervous! Has anyone been? What happens throughout the day?

Any advise would be great! x

can't give you any advice - as I haven't been in that position. BUT wanted to wish you all the very best and congratulate you on your achievement so far.

Best Wishes.

Gilly x

No advice to give either, but good luck and congratulations! Hope it goes really well. X

I went last weekend. Basically what happen is you will be weighed and measured first, then put into groups with other women who have won from their group, and will sit together around a big table where you will be asked to tell the story of your journey. At your table will also be some judges, and an overseer, who will tell you when to stop. The judges will ask questions after you stop. You have 5 minutes each. Once you have all spoken then the judges will confer, and they will select some of you to relate your story again to everyone. In our case there were three groups and three from each group were chosen to move on to the next part.
Again after you talk the judges will ask questions, and then make a decision about who will go to the finals at head office.
They then have a presentation and that's basically it. Go prepared for a fair bit of waiting around.

Some of the stories can be very sad, if you are an emotional person take a tissue or two!!

Congratulations on getting that far, and enjoy the day!!
