Hi, generally we will have a protein shake for breakfast. At dinner we will have a 2-egg omlette with 2 pieces of trimmed bacon and a sausage (the mattesons ones have 0 carb) or a chicken salad with feta cheese, olives, bacon, caesar etc. For tea we will have 2 big pork chops with a little veg and I make up some cauliflower cheese (2 cheese triangles with a bit of milk and proper cheese). My favourite is chicken carbonara. My boyf was a head chef for 10 years and adapted it for us....and omg it is soooo damn delicious I could die! Its a case of chopping the chicken to chunks and cook them, then some bacon. In a jug, make up about 100mls of double cream, add some parmesan, and one egg and stir. When the chicken and bacon is cooked, ake it off the heat for a short time and then add the 'sauce' and stir it in. Meanwhile, you should have cut up a courgette to look like spaghetti and blanche that for a few minutes. Honestly, you can hardly tell the difference between courgette and pasta. Drain and put the courgette into a bowl andcover. Enjoy! We drink decaf coffee with 2 sweetners and cream and I have sugar free jelly if I get a craving. I also eat a handful of sunflower and pumpin seeds if i am peckish. Thats just an example and i am finding my choices a bit limited. It feels like I am doing soooo many dishes as everything has to be prepared...argh! But My fella has now lost an extra 2 lbs (making it 10lbs in 9 days). I am in ketosis (check my pee every day) and I am in the darkest purple or next darkest one each time. I'm not hungry at all...plus I didnt feel that bad in the first few days either (I was expecting the worst..headaches, diarrhea etc but all was good). This is the first time I have done a low carb diet and I am very, very chuffed. I know I wont do it forever as I dont think it is good for you long term but I will definitely limit my carbs from now on.
