i really hate bieng a worrier but i read all these threads and everyone seems to be losing weight much faster than me! i keep to the diet and this week on my scales it says i have only lost 2lbs but it is a stone in 4 weeks which is good1
i keep picking at food then feel really gulty afterwards can anyone help?

Don't panic, everyone loses weight at different rates and as long as you stick to the diet it will come off. I don't think anybody would say this is easy, just some days are easier than others to cope with.

Just hang in there, stick with it and it will work

the weight loss will slow right down if u r picking. try not to compare urself to others as we all vary so much. I think the slower losers are a lot more quiet about it and of course, those who are shocked by the speed/high amounts of their weight loss are more noticable on here. so i just think it makes it more obviously when u read the forum.

you are doing well and i dont think u should be comparing urself to anyone else. u r the only one walking in ur shoes and this is ur journey. nevermind what everyone else is getting up to and focus on urself. that ought to help stop the picking and then u will see big differences.

i know VLCDs are hard but u can do this!!
I was also a slow starter, in the 1st three weeks I really felt like giving up and going on ww but then my weight losses seemed to improve. I can remember a discussion with my CDC saying that I would give it 4 weeks to see how I got on. Ive now just finished week 7 and I am glad that I had the strength to carry on because although my weight losses still aint on the high side Im starting to reap the rewards.

Keep at it and you will be fine, however as Karen says picking at food will slow down your losses. You need to stop if you can and remain focussed on the diet. and your losses will improve:D
Hi I think Karens right, I dont tend to notice the slower losers on the board and I dont tend to post my losses unless I'm really pleased that week. Not because I'm bothered!am i bothered! No! This week I lost 1 3/4lbs but I accept that some weeks are far better than others. I know that it wasn't a great week but TBH I had picked a Little!! bit and it taught me a little lesson. I just keep plodding along because I know I'll get a bigger loss next week. Keep at it, no more picking!! you and me both! and you'll be fine,

My thoughts on the nibbling route

I lost 42lbs last year on cd but i did what you did i went the wibbly wobbly road of a wee nibble hear a wee nibble there, a night off for a special event but takes you time to get back on, yes if you want to go that route the loss is slower but i am embarking on CD next week for the second time and it will be a more direct route i will struggle like crazy but its got to be FOR THE RESULTS FAST all or nothing.
We are all on a journey and the route we take is very individual.
I am a party animal but my ultimate goal is to be CDC and weight counsellor, i have my certificates in couselling, this is the way forward for me.

The worse thing in the world is to compare yourself to others - It's your journey and as you've said, you have lost a stone in a month - which is what CD say you should achieve. Try your hardest not to pick as if you want it faster, you really need to stick to it 100%. You can do it, you will get there, you really will :)
