Worth joining online?

Hi everyone.

Has anyone got an opinion on whether it is worth becoming an online member? I joined a group last year for 2 months and have to admit I was disappointed. It felt more like a social club, gossiping about X Factor and Take That rather than weight loss support. I've read so many SW magazines which go on about amazing consultants but I didn't feel that. Mine was bubbly and friendly but I text and emailed her a few times when I was struggling and she never replied.

Anyway, sorry to moan, but the group just didn't work that well and I'm wondering if the online version is worth paying for. Any advice?

I dont have time for group; anymore and was looking at joining online, but because i;ve been to group for some time, i have a lot of the cookery books and also i know how it works, also this website is an excellent support, so i decided to save my cash, I'm hoping to get back into group in septemeber when my son goes back to school. Ours was a mix of social and also weight loss support which was awesome, as I'm a single mum and dont really get to go and socialise with large groups of adults( I DJ but then i'm working and generally then getting back for the babysitter lol). So I enjoyed both aspects of it, plus my consultant is a lovely lady and the group is wonderful! Maybe try another group in your area??

Sadly it is the only possible group in my area. I need an evening group because of work and the only other evening one in my area runs on a monday when I attend a college course. Have found an online discount code to join online so might give it a try.

I joined a couple of weeks ago online with the Bella voucher. I think it was about £45 for three months. I like using the online tools and I think there are a few ones in addition to the free access you get with meetings. I have been to meetings in the past and I am afraid I found them tedious after a long day at work. It was too much going round the group to each person asking about their week etc. It just wasn't for me. I guess I am not a people person :) I suppose it depends on how much you value using the online tools whether you think it is worth it.
