Would you still use chicken that flys have been on?

Just got the chicken out to cook (been in the fridge all day defrosting) and came downstairs to find about 6 flys on it.

The chicken is in water at the moment.

Do you think its safe to use?

Oh no definitely not, no way... flies are absolutely disgusting and manky too. I wouldnt touch anything theyve been near.

A BIG NO.... like starlight said, flies are dirty creatures that do unmentionable things to food when they land on it.

Sorry it will create more problems but better safe than sorry.

Depends who's eating it. If it was just me yes I'd eat it, I can eat anything & not feel poorly, but if OH was eating it definately not.

Sorry if this makes anyone ill, but the first thing flies do when they land on food is vomit on it - the acid breaks the food down and makes it easier for them to digest when they eat it. Ewww.
