WS people what are you all eating?

Most ready meals are not going to keep you in ketosis because they almost always have carbs, whether in the actual meal or even the sauce. If you google search 'atkins induction foods' that will bring up a lot of sites which have ketogenic foods/non carb foods. This has been a problem for me also because I don't cook! Well, I guess it's life-changes all around, because now I am gonna have to learn how. :D there is also a Sticky at the top of this forum that says 'helpful list of ketogenic foods'.

You can't go wrong with a portion of leanish protein (fish, chicken, turkey, beef) and green veg. A bit of dairy too such as a cheesy sauce (check for carbs if buying ready made) can add flavour too. I've discovered a love of all sorts of things I wouldn't have thought of before - courgettes now my all-time favourite veg!
Good luck

I've had 2 lovely meals this week. Made bolenese but ate it with crunchy iceberg lettuce leaves instead of pasta. Was fab, and it allowed me to have eat with the family.

Then last night I had chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms, fried in the wok, then ate in the lettuce leaves again. Really nice, added a bit of sour cream to the lettuce for a bit of sauce.

Going to have some cod tomoro with pak choi

Prawns, steak, pork, chicken. I feel in your first week you want something light so try a 2-3 egg omelette with bacon.
