The one syn every 20 cals is interesting. Does that apply to everything? Just never heard it before. Wouldnt it depend on the fat etc content of the product?

It applies to anything that does not qualify for a free food allowance (things with a free food as the main ingredient). There are also some foods that do not qualify even if the have free foods as the main ingredient, one of which is pasta sauces but also ready-made soups.

And no it doesn't depend on fat content because that is already reflected in the calories.

So for example chocolate, biscuits, bread, cereals with no free foods you can use the 20 calories rule but not with a mugshot or a bean chilli.

it would be much easier if these items were listed in the directory, as seem to be spending a lot of time looking syn values up and now looks like I need to do alot of maths lol
