Hello
today is my 5th day on attack & I'm getting ready to start cruise to-morrow. Thank you all for so many tips & recipes on here. I have not to to day 5 on any diet successfully for years. I always cheat or have too much. I really find Dukan easier. I thought giving up wine would be hard but after reading the book, I am more motivated than I have been for years.

I was 146lbs starting this diet & have lost 5lbs in attack. 21lbs to reach target. ( I am short with a small frame)

I know, this diet is brilliant isn't it!!

I too thought the giving up alcohol bit would be tough, as I did drink a fair bit, but I can honestly say that I didn't have a problem and don't miss it in the slightest.

Well done on your success so far.

And you are not 'short', you are 'petite'. (Sounds sooooo much nicer!!) LOL!

It's amazing that I am not hungry at all. Congrats on your weight loss so far. There is so much info on the, I love it.

Cruise starting today. Lost 5lbs on attack. I hope they won't go back on this week. Unfortunately going out for lunch. I have changed the restaurant from Chinese to Turkish. Reckon that there I can have a chicken shish & salad, no dressing. In the chinese I would just be watching.
Constipation is a bit of an issue, feel a bit "icky" Otherwise feeling great. Glad that the dreaded dukan flu never hit me.

This is the first time in years that I have reached day 6 of any diet without cheating in anyway. Maybe my head is now in the right space to do this.

Survived lunch in the Turkish. Had chicken shish ( asked for no oil on it or on the salad,salad came with dressing so left that. not too sure if the chicken was totally oil free but dabbed at it with the paper napkin)
Really full so think I might skip supper.
Weighed on my brothers scales & weight was different. The lesson learnt was stick to one set of scales in future!

It's day 7 & I'm feeling good. Clothes are feeling a bit looser. I've never managed to reach day 7 on a diet before without nibbling on banned foods & cheating with alcohol. I so hope that my mind is in the right place to do it this time.
My food plan for today is
B galette with a poached egg

L tofu (dry fried) with some chinese green veggies

D Roast chicken & asparagus

3l water.

Last week I made a mistake when buying milk. I didn't look properly & when I got home realised that I had bought orange instead of red milk. I didn't even know that orange exhisted! Started PV yesterday, going to do PV until Sat, then do alternate days. That will give me time to organise.

Day 8.
Still sticking to the diet food list. It is turning ought to be easier than I dreaded. Last night I made the cheeseburger pie from the dukan ranger thread. It was lovely!
todays food will be
B leftover pie
Lroast chicken & spinach
D roast beef & salad

snack yoghurt mixed with the oatbran.

I think I have been eating too many eggs, so trying to cut down on them.

Day 9
weighed in this morning & I've lost another lb. That brings the total to 6lbs in 9 days. Hopefully by this time next week I will be below 140lbs for the first time in 2 years. Last week I was eating a lot more in quantity. The book is right when it says that appetite will decrease by the cruise phase. Food is still at the front of my mind but the cravings & thoughts about sweet stuff have diminished. Even managed to watch the Great British Bake Off last night without getting the urge to have some cake!
The cheeseburger pie was lovely cold also. That is going to be one of my staple recipes.
Food today will be
B- galette with dry fried egg
L- tin of tuna with salad
D- sashimi & steamed fish & salad (going out for dinner & have planned food in advance so I don't have to look at the menu in the restaurant, in case I get sidetracked)

I like your style!!! The couple of times I have been out, I already know I'm going to have steak!!

I agree with Sididd & Carole, eating out is all about pre planning. Last night I managed to stick to my plan. I was tempted by the lovely looking crusty bread & real butter & told OH to take what he wanted, then asked the server to take it away. My second temptation came when the people on the next table ordered pudding! Funnily enough not having wine didn't bother me. managed to drink days quota of water though. Might even be ahead of myself on water intake.

Day 11
Weight is 140lbs & I feel good. Stuck to the diet over the weekend. I'm going to do PP for the next 4 days.
todays food will be:
B galette with 2 dry fried eggs
L tin of tuna mixed with chopped onion & capers
D chicken breast rubbed with a little jerk seasoning cooked in foil in the oven

Drinking loads of water
 
Got my day count wrong! today is actually day 13.

snack natural yoghurt with vanilla & sweetener.
2l water

Still not missing booze or carbs.
