    How many times have you rejoined SW?!

    I've lost count of the number of times, have been doing SW on and off for nearly 20 years and have seen the eating plan change a lot. i've lost 5st twice with SW. Anyone remember the first magazine, the lady on the cover was someone from my class who had lost 6st and kept it off.

    Veg from Aldi

    I made a buuternut squash and sweet potato curry for a tasting session at SW last night. It was very popular, I used blended mushy peas as the sauce.

    What to do with a butternut squash?

    Best way to peel it is to put the whole squash in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes, turn it to make sure it all gets covered. Take it out leave it to cool and it's then really easy to peel.

    Side effects of SW?

    I can't eat fruit after my meal otherwise i'm windy all night. Have to eat it on an empty stomach, apparently it can ferment in your stomach and produce gas if you'e just eaten a meal.

    Thats odd I bought the EE cookbook as my consultant said that each recipe has 1/3rd veg incorporated in it. I f you look at the book they have a curry with veg in it, beef chilli with veg in etc.

    I know you have to have 1/3rd super free food with each meal on EE. Do you also have to have 1/3rd superfree on green and red as well. I thought i heard my consultant say this but wasn't quite sure. If thats the case I can't have egg, chips and beans any more? Does anyone know for definate

    There's several threads on this if you do a search. I use it with sweetner and have it on fresh fruit salad or mix it with a couple of eggs and use it like a white/cheese sauce, add 42 g of low fat grated cheese on top.

    WI - when do you stop eating?

    I weigh in at 7pm. Always have a good breakfast then a salad usually chicken or tinned fish and a yogurt for lunch, always have a red day. Once I had a big bowl of lentil soup for lunch and weighed in heavy that week so always have salad weighday. Nothing to drink for 2 hours before I weigh.

    Potatoes vs sweet potatoes

    I would say they are both healthy foods,providing they arn't cooked in fat. But sweet potatoes are lower g.i. food than normal potatoes and so would be more filling.

    I have found that when i don't eat bread my weight losses are greater. I love bread but don't eat it for that reason.
