    I've swapped to black americanos - hard core coffee no more ginger bread lattes for me. sometimes I do have one but I'm a laydie and need to keep my calcium levels up for the sake of my health.

    I love whats called a long vodka up here- vodka, dash of lime, soda and angustura bitters. mmm also vodka irn bru highly recommended! I quite like it with diet lilt too. maybe I just like vodka!

    I've found that I have to exercise to see a difference, I also try and stay away from sugar. I also swear by M&S hold everything in knickers too for when you just need a bit of help :p

    I don't wait for half a stone - if I've had a good week I'm straight down the make up counters in boots, you can never have too many lipsticks, nailvarnishes, things that glitter I love the £1 in a jar idea - I'm going to steal that!

    hi carol, I have PCOS too, losing weight has really helped but it takes me twice as long as it would without PCOS, I just have to know that 1lb a week is good for me and I know I worked hard to get it. Good luck - you've always got us on here for support. hb x

    hi eddies mum, nov 20 is only 6 weeks away and while you often get a big loss in the first week back on plan it soon settles down to 1 or 2 pounds a week, I would be worried you would be setting yourself up to be disappointed and might get discouraged, why not go for 10 and anything above that...

    Hi, I joined Curves as its local to me, women only and really friendly, 30 minutes 3 times a week, I've noticed a difference in toning up especially around my waist so far. I've always let it tail off in the past but I'm hoping that because its limited to 30 minutes I'll keep it up in the long term

    its hard but its alway better to go even if its just to establish a pattern so that in future you know when your week might not be as good as you hoped you will know its still part of a downwards pattern and you wont get too discouraged.

    hi, I get weighed at 7 so I don't eat before that but I do have normal breakfast and lunch, I try and do the same every week tho. Have to say that I'm usually eating a hi fi bar by 7.01 :p

    have you seen the 7 day plan on the sw student bit ? loads of good but not expensive meals using the tesco value stuff but you can swap out supermarket own brands for the equivalent more expensive product, i do that with cereals and stuff.

    well done! for me it settled down quickly to 1 or 2 a week but we were talking in meeting tonight about not getting too hung up on the numbers and concentrating on how you feel and how you look in your clothes, going down a dress size is a fab feeling :)

    :welcome:hi, you sound just like me! I've tried loads of things but SW seems to really have worked for me. When I had a sts week my consultant got me to walk everyday and I lost 3lbs the next week which has really made me enthusiastic again. Good luck and Welcome!

    my solution was drastic but oh my god was it worth it - I had a breast reduction in Oct 08 and it was the best thing I ever did :D if that isn't your cup of tea I got antibiotic talc from the chemist which really helped, hope it gets better soon
