    Popcorn

Hi guys, I have decided to come over to SW after losing over 6 stone on Cambridge Diet in 2009. The weight is creeping back on, but just don't think I could go back to living on soups again. I need food in my life and friends have been so successful on SW, that I've decided to try it for...

    Blockage.... help before I burst!!

Hi Guys, Sorry to lower the tone, but any ideas on how to get myself "moving"? I know I've been lax on the water, so will drown myself in that today. Any other allowed remedies as I'm pretty sure I'm going to burst if my tum gets any bigger - I look pregnant!! :sigh:

    A Dukan newbie..

Hi Seashore, You need to keep your oat bran to 1 1/2 tbsps per day whilst on Attack. Anymore may take you out of ketosis. You can make galettes from the oatbran, too - they're yummy! Recipe on here or in book. I'm pretty sure the yoghurt needs to be fat free - not low fat. I have been...

Think i'll give this a try....

Hi Marysu, You have to have 1 1/2 tbsp of oatbran a day which is a specific product. I found it in Tescos near the porridge and muesli. It looks like grit/sawdust. Pork & lamb are off limits in the attack phase. You are allowed lean ham, though. Check on the threads on here which have a list of...

    Hello!

I ordered my book from Amazon using the super saver delivery and it was with me in 2 days. Seems I've been luckie than some with that, though. I did Cambridge for 7 months and have tried to go back on it, but just can't face it. Dukan seems so much easier as it's real food!! Good luck with...

    Oat bran?

Hi Nic, In Tescos, I found it near the muesli and porridge oats. It's in see-through bags and are about the size of bags of flour. The oatbran itself looks like light brown grit - apologies for description. Hope that helps!

    Dont shout at me....

Well.... if we're confessing stuff..... I have a birthday party to go to tomorrow and seeing a friend in Manchester on Saturday night. Both nights will contain alcohol - vodka and either slimline tonic or diet coke. I did 8 months alcohol free on CD and am afraid I don't think I can do that...

    What to stock up on?

Are muffins ok on attack? I just dribbled on my laptop when I saw that chicken liver pate recipe. I saw on one website that someone had made the galette into "toast". Cooked in the pan as normal, but then pressed between 2 plates, cut into squares and grilled. Perfect for the pate - if a...

    Newbie coming from CD

I think it's the fact that no matter how you feel, they're always glad to see you and are always up for a cuddle. I couldn't be without them now. There's nothing better than 40kgs of hairy hound jumping on me first thing in the morning. They have me very well trained!

    Newbie coming from CD

The boys are from County Cork and their parents are Irish show champions and their dad came 2nd in his breed at Crufts. We haven't shown them, but Fergus is of show quality. Dillon is more of the "working stock". They haven't been neutered yet as we weren't sure whether to breed - they are a...

I couldn't stand the shakes. I lived off the soups, porridge and bars. I've had a look at the FB page and will keep scouring the pages on here. I'm so looking forward to it! My hounds are Irish Water Spaniels - big, brown curly fools! They're called Fergus & Dillon and are almost 2 years old...

    Newbie coming from CD

Hi everyone, I have lost 6 stone with CD since May last year. I've been less than stringent since Xmas (think this was my goal date as was turning 30, etc) and have really struggleds with it since. I read about this diet in a magazine and it really interested me. I did do Atkins about 7...

If you lose much more you won't be you!?

I've had the same thing for ages. I now just say "I have a goal and I'm going to reach it, what's the point of stopping when I've come this far?". People were saying it to me 2 stone ago, saying I would look ill if I lost anymore. I would tend to agree with them and couldn't imagine myself...

    Bra size!

is it wrong that i'm cross with my mate?

By the sounds of it, it's a typical bride not wanting anyone to steal her limelight. I've had a similar problem with a friend who started CD at the same time as me and has also quit as she says she can't stick to it. She seems very bitter towards me and always makes comments on how surprised...

I've just bought myself a wii fit and it's great! Don't even feel like I'm exercising as the games are really fun and motivate me to beat my last score. boxercise

I bought Davina McCall's "power of 3" workout DVD which includes a 30 minute called "cardio box". I find it's great and doing one of the workouts 3 times a week is apparently sufficient as it includes a lot of fat burning on it. Less intimidating in your own home, too.

My boyfriend cheated on me at the beginning of our relationship with his ex. He went back and forth between us for a good few months. Question about bars.....????

I got weighed on Tuesday after starting the bars 2 weeks ago and only losing 1lb in that week.. Think it was the hot weather, though. Continued on them this week and lost 8lb plus inches. I just find them easier when I'm on the move or on the drive to work.

    Question about bars.....????

I've just started week 6 and have started on the bars last week. Only lost 1lb this week, but think it may be because I haven't drank enough in the hot weather. They are so delicious. My CDC says they shouldn't affect weight loss.

    How does totm affect you?

I only lost 1lb the week before mine, but I did drink alcohol that week too, so could've been a bit of both. My CDC says it can affect your loss leading up to it, but everyone's different. You'll still lose inches, though, so take that into account.
