    whats for lunch

Hmmm, just had some shreddies! Having a red day but I forgot to bring my lunch in to work, and the only things I have in my drawer are mug shots and cous cous. It's an early finish today and I'll be home by 2:30 ish so I'll find something good to nibble on before I do the chicken for tea. :D

    Starting over....

At least I'm not the only one who's gone off course then. I just feel like I've let myself down. But, I've just resisted warm cheese scones topped with a thick layer of real butter and it feels good :D *does a happy dance*

    Starting over....

Morning all :) I had been following slimming world (red and green) on my own for around 18 months. I initially lost 4 stone(ish) :D but I lost my way around August last year and have managed to gain back a stone in that time  . So, I've decided to wipe the slate clean and start...

Slow cooker - help needed please

As Circes says, just make sure it's raised up from the bottom a bit. If you shove some garlic or a half a lemon up it's jacksey, it's extra tasty :D

Slow cooker - help needed please

    Fridge food.

Okay, so my fridge stopped working over a week ago (although I only noticed after a few days when the milk went off :8855:) As it's so cold just now I have just put all of the stuff that really needs to be kept cold outside in a big plastic lidded box. But I had loads of stuff in my fridge...

    A long day

I don't think that would keep me going all day either! I'd chuck in a couple of mugshots and a couple of alpen bars just in case..... You don't have to eat them.

    Any pet owners about?

Cute bunnies and puddy tats :) My vet has quoted £10.00 + VAT which I thought was reasonable until they specified per item. So one prescription with 3 items on is going to set me back £35.00 just for one piece of paper  :faint2: I can get the drugs online for half the price the vets...

    Any pet owners about?

Out of curiosity, has anyone recently had a prescription from their vet to buy pet meds elsewhere? If so, can I ask how much they charged (per item) ? Just curious to know whether I'm having my back teeth pulled out
  14. *ruby*

    Oh hecky thump !!!!

I've not really tried the SW puds to be honest, apart from the cheesecake in last months mag, which was nice. I knew it wouldn't taste exactly like the real deal, but it was tasty. I agree with the others ^^^^ Just have what you really want, in moderation, and account for it in your...

PERFECT FOR SW CHIPS :-) !!!!!

I always boiled them up for about 7 mins, but I tried zapping them in the microwave last night instead of in a pan. A big bowl no water, 5 mins on high - then frylighted with a bit of S&P and cooked on 200 for 45 mins or so. Mmmmm!

    Quorn - an acquired taste?

The meatballs are gorgeous! I like the chicken style products and the burgers, the suasages are ok if they are drowned in gravy or baked beans. But the mince..... Bleurgh!! I can dress it up in any guise (bolognaise, chilli etc..) but it still tastes awful and the texture is horrible...

Anyone else hit a brick wall?

Hi everyone, haven't been around for a while. Basically I've lost about 4 stone since last Sept (:happy036: Yay me!!) following the plan on my own from home, but I well and truly, spectacularly fell off the wagon in the middle of August. Unbelievably I have only gained 5 or 6 pounds in the...

    Childless through choice

We're childless by choice. When I get the 'biological clock' comments, I simply smile and say that maybe the batteries have run out or that it better tick a bit faster as I'm quickly approaching 40 and sooner rather than later I will no longer have a choice. But yes, I does get annoying. I...

    Rajah Paste

Don't apologise! Thanks for looking for me :) I really only use it when I haven't got fresh. It's only a teaspoon or two and I was guestimating at around 1 per tsp anyway. It just got me wondering.... you know what I mean? Cheers anyway :D
  24. *ruby*

    Rajah Paste

Hmmm... On the jar there are only the ingredients: Ginger (80%), Water, Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Salt, Acetic Acid, Ascorbic Acid. Garlic (84%), Water, Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Salt, Acetic Acid, Citric Acid. I don't suppose that's much help really? :(

    SW... your favourite weekday breakfast!

I can't face breakfast as such, so eat at around ten. As I'm at work it has to be something I can stuff down quick and then have a sly ciggie, so it tends to be an alpen bar and either a yoghurt and/or some fruit. I know, boring....... :(

Is water all you drink, or is that along with tea, coffee, pop, juice etc.... Do you drink that much because you're actually thirsty, or is it more of a fill-up so you don't feel hungry. Just wondering as I think a raging thirst is connected with some medical problem? Not trying to worry...
