    Here we go again!

Hey guys! I'm restarting after a nasty virus which knocked me out for nearly a month (I think a lot of people have had it this winter)...I'd got down to 13 stone 10, just a stone above my goal, but after a month languishing I've gone back up to 14s13lb. Bummer, eh? So back on the diet: low carb...

    Restarting after crimbo!

I plateaued for a bit before Xmas---could not get below about 13.10. After Xmas i'd gone up to 14.7 again which is a bore, but back on the wagon now! Two stone to go by the end of Feb, ideally. Here goes!

Thanks, yes, I meant low calorie!! So I have been eating carbs. Just not much!

    Attack switching after VLCD

Dear everyone, could I ask for some advice? I've done 3 careful attack days on Dukan and lost a pound. One measly pound! BUT the background is I had plateau'd for three weeks after four months on a VLCD during which I had lost 52lb, going from 17.9 to 14.0. As I say, after three days of hard...

Two and a half stone lost!

well, yesterday evening I felt EVIL. Weak, exhausted, short-tempered, contemplating gnawing the tabletop for nutrients---you know how it is. So I went out with a friend and had a posh burger and then some cheese and olives, with TWO glasses of wine. And today, even if it's put my goals back a...

    Clothes

I've just tried that old technique....buying an item of clothing that's too small in order to have something to 'slim into'. In my case, it's a pair of 33 waist grey trousers---very smart. They fit over my thighs nicely...but zipping up and buttoning ain't happening! (To my irritation, as I am...

Two and a half stone lost!

Haha, weird day today---I'd stayed the same at 14.12 for four days, and then suddenly, as of today---14.7 exactly. Sometimes I think there's no rhyme nor reason to it.

Two and a half stone lost!

12 exactly, which is JUST in the 'ideal' BMI for my height. I've never been thinner than 11.7 as an adult (when I was 17), though to my irritation as a thickset hobbity type I wasn't exactly waiflike even at that weight. You're so right about minds not catching up...I keep getting startled...

Lynn's Diary - My Big Fat Weight Loss Journey

Amazing weightloss, Lynn. Well done you! Oddly, as you pointed out somewhere, we've been on the same journey---I was a similar weight when I started and am now 14.12, also eating a very low calorie diet. But I'm HUNGRY tonight!! I loved the bit about the cardigan by the way....I bought a...

Two and a half stone lost!

God, Lynn, that's incredibly fast! Well done you! I really hope I'll be typing on here at Christmas time that I'm about where you are now. I'm so sick of being bloody fat! (Aren't we all?)

Two and a half stone lost!

Oh God, Sher, that's exactly it. I'm down to 14.12 as of just now, and while with the clothes on it all looks a damn sight better, with the clothes off...not so good. I reflect that my entire life I've been going up or going down: when I was 15 I was 15.7, and I lost all that and got down to...

Two and a half stone lost!

Just coming up to two months on the diet....(started 22nd July)...and I have lost 35lb! I've gone from 17 stone 9lb to 15 stone 2lb. I am thinner than I have been at any time since 2006. Alas, this is not *quite* half way to my goal (that's around the 14.12 mark, which I should reach in two...

    23lb in a month

bless you Emz! Yeah, just had a week long road trip from Vilnius to the UK in a van---1500 miles---and it was very difficult to find healthy food! (Herring in a cold raisin sauce in Gdansk was a particular non-highlight.)

    23lb in a month

Thanks! Yes, I've been eating healthily, but sparingly.

    23lb in a month

Just thought I'd share a moment of triumph: I've been on a diet for exactly one calendar month, and I've lost....23lb! I just cannot believe it. I already look pretty different. This has been more than I was expecting---a LOT more---and it's given me the filip I needed to press on into month 2. Yay!

Where do you notice weight loss first?

Oddly, the inner sides of my knees. I'd developed fatty pads there which went purple in cold weather---yuk! After the loss of the first stone, they disappeared...! Good riddance. Also on my face and neck.

    frustartion

Hey everyone I'm having one of those dismal days when even though the weight is going---I've lost just over a 1/6 of what I need to lose---I feel gloomy and demotivated. I look better---definitely better---but still not great. Does anyone else ever feel this impatient about weightloss?! Argh. I...

    hi!

thanks everyone! Two weeks in and I've lost a stone. I was 17.9, now I'm 16.9, and I want to get to 12. (Ideally by Xmas.) Next goal: 16.0! Mark
