    Well...weeks 16 & 17 I was all carbed up in preparation for my fitness test (which I passed with flying colours!!!) and stayed the same weight. Week 18 and I've lost 2.5lbs. I'm into the 25's BMI so it wont be long till I'm 'normal' :)

    Soups..

    Its amazing how everyone tastes things differently. The tomato soup was my favourite. Had it every day. Its the only one you can make without blending. The rest need to be zapped. Potato and Leek is good too:-)

    Its going really well thanks. I went yesterday and did a practice run with our training team. I took 2mins 30 off my time that I ran two weeks ago!!! Unfortunately the one I ran yesterday doesnt count as you must have 6 weeks between a fail and a resit, so I've got 4 more weeks of training to go...

    Thankyou:) The odd time I have felt hungry is when I've not been able to get my shake/bar on time. I agree that a lot of the time we confuse hunger with craving. I now genuinely 'forget' to eat. I'll eat because I know I have to rather than actually being hungry. I like this feeling!!!lol

    midwife on call!

    I work night shifts and adjust my timings so that I have a tetra/bar/shake during the night. If I was just on call though and I had eaten my stuff during the day, I wouldn't eat extra. I usually find that I'm not hungry during the night:)

    When does the tiredness stop?

    I had a huge burst of energy round about day 7. The whole house was cleaned and I seriously couldn't sit down. Its kind of gone again, but I still feel fine and have enough energy to exercise. I tried to exercise the first week and nearly fainted when I'd finished!!

    No I've been told I don't. I carry my weight pretty evenly. It goes on everywhere and comes off everywhere. My mother nearly fell off her chair when I told her what my starting weight was. She actually didn't believe I was 16st. I suppose that makes me quite lucky:)

    I don't know about anyone else, but I don't exercise to lose weight. As Lily says, you have to do an awful lot of exercise to lose a pound, it just doesn't work like that. I diet to lose weight...and I exercise to stay healthy. I think it makes it easier for me if I think about it like that:)

    I'm the complete opposite from you. Put me on a treadmill and you're lucky if I can run for 15 minutes, I go outside and I'll happily run for 45. Have you tried to 'couch to 5k' programme? You start off walk/run and I found it much easier to build up my distance when I did it gradually like this...

    Got to agree completely. I exercise a lot. I run every second day. The scales have no relevance to what you've just done. They're a tool to tell you how you're doing at regular intervals. The only thing you'll lose straight away by exercising is water from sweating.

    I sometimes use an extra pack to make crisps (not my 3 main packs though). I love them, and they keep me on the straight and narrow when the rest of my family are pigging out on junk.

    Please dont feel like that. I had a lot more to lose than you!! I obviously hold a lot of glycogen, that would account for the big weight loss the first week. We all lose at a different rate, and I'm sure that my STS week or worse will come soon. It happens to everyone:)

    I think it's like you say:-) we're all different and we all hold onto different levels of glycogen and water. I always lose big in week one no matter what diet I do. It slows down to the same levels as most other people after the first 2 weeks:-)

    Fit flops

    When I first started wearing them I noticed the difference in the way they made me walk. They certainly tightened the muscles in the back of my legs. Now, I'm so used to wearing them that I dont notice anything, in fact if I wear any other footwear, it feels strange.

    Well I'm new here and I started sole source last week. I've just had my first weigh in and I've lost 15lbs. I'm actually quite stunned. It's really not been hard. The first few days were a bit uncomfortable, but seriously nothing like I thought it would be!!! Bring on week two!!!!
