YESSS pepper and pesto is my absolute favourite I'm over the moon that it's free! :bliss: I'm hoping the sweet chilli one is free too... mainly cos I've got one in my fridge already... but if anything it won't be too damaging so I don't mind. Also, today I put 1 tablespoon of medium Nando's...

    NSVs - Non Scale Victories

Oh I forgot to say this one- my (very slim anyway) co worker saw how much weight I'd lost, was watching me fill out my food diary- she took the little first week recipe booklet to have a look and ended up photocopying all the pages :p I guess Slimming World is tasty for everyone not just dieters!

    Common SW misconceptions put right.

also I think it has something to do with the roughage in whole pieces of fruit and veg... it takes the body the same amount of calories to digest it as it does to eat so it cancels the calories out! Pureed stuff doesn't need the extra work put in.

    NSVs - Non Scale Victories

I do temping work and haven't been to this workplace for 3 months or so... when I arrived everyone kept commenting on how much weight I'd lost.. .although I'd plateaued for 3 weeks it made me feel good about myself and I had a sudden surge of inspiration to keep going :) and last night finally...

Anyone in the 11 stone bracket want support to get down to the 10s?

Hi everyone :) I'm 11st 9 and I'm looking to get to 10st 6. Given that I started at 15st 3 this is the lightest I think I've ever been in my teenage life :D Desperate to get into the 10s now... it would be soo exciting... Lost 3.5lb at group last night, really pushing myself now for the home...

The 'what i resisted today' Thread.

Just resisted a FREE fresh bacon sarnie from my work colleague... everyone else is eating them now and the smell is overpowering! Here I am munching on an apple... :argh: It'll be worth it in the end!!

Oh dear - totally fell off wagon last night!

When you slip up vs when you get weighed in has a big impact for me- earlier in the week means you have time to rectify it. But nonetheless keep going, it's a marathon not a sprint and we all go out and indulge, it's a part of life!

    Stickers as motivation

Same with my group- noone does the body magic certs although my leader said if I hand in some filled-out BM sheets and proof etc she can award me- I think people find them a lot more complicated than just filling in a food diary and getting weighed. They are quite vague I find and my exercise...

    Worried about Uni!!!

Thanks for sharing everyone Sio yeah I agree I have a lot more nutritional know-how than most people my age anyway- friends who can't understand how they've gained weight at university are asking me for advice :p and I've been basically cooking my own meals for the past few years now- full time...

    Common SW misconceptions put right.

With the muscle/fat one- I think the misconception comes from the fact that 1lb muscle is smaller in mass than 1lb fat .. i.e. it looks smaller and more compact. That's why a 120lb toned person looks slimmer than a 120lb "softer" person who does no exercise :)

    artificial sweeteners = headache?

I have the same problem with spenda, but different brands don't affect me so much- tesco own brand sweetener never gives me headaches

Hit a plateau - can you help me, please?

How about changing your hexa/b? I was stuck in a rut for 3 weeks (gain, gain, maintain ) and then I tried swapping my all bran and milk for a hi-fi and a few laughing cows and I lost 3.5 the next week! I don't know if that was the reason but it seemed to work. Herbal teas instead of...

    Stickers as motivation

Yes, I am so proud of my stickers! I arrange them all neatly on my book like I'm in primary school again :D you should ask for them, it's a good reminder of how far you have come. Sometimes when I'm demotivated they remind me of how hard I've worked. And the next sticker is always a good goal to...

    Worried about Uni!!!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if any fellow Slimming world dieters could share some advice... I've lost around 3 1/2 stone overall and my target is to reach my target goal for when I go away in September. I've already changed a lot as a person and gained so much needed confidence for the big move...

    Hi everyone...

MrsJH yes I am following extra easy. I (well, sort of) tried Slimming World with my mum and nan when I was about 9 or 10.. I lost a bit of weight but never stuck to it. The whole extra easy thing seemed a bit too good to be true but I have been losing reasonable amounts of weight each week, it...

    Hi everyone...

My name is Ali, I'm not exactly "new" to this site because every time I've googled a syn value it's brought me here and I end up spending ages reading all the threads :p so I thought I may as well sign up! Well what can I say I started Slimming World in February but I started losing weight just...
