fell off the wagon with a bump

I've been having the odd wobble too - lots of friends' birthdays in June and July, so I've been out for dinners a lot. And as for my reunion from my old uni.... there was a lot of wine involved! My fiancé is doing DC with me and is being far more good - but we do tend to use some of our...

    Hows everyone doing??

Hey Crystel! I'm having the odd day off too - I have instituted the 'Faturday' routine which seems to work for me :-) The weight's coming off steadily but surely - people have started noticing, which makes it all worth it! I know what you mean about the food - it's lovely, but sometimes you...

    No weight lost this week!

Thanks everyone :-) I weighed again yesterday and had lost a pound overnight, so I'm pretty sure it was just hormones. I should probably take my weight monthly but I'm so impatient! Hopefully I'll continue losing the weight now the fluid retention has gone down a bit. xxxx

    No weight lost this week!

I weighed myself this morning and haven't lost anything! I'm so disappointed :( I've been so good! I do have my period so maybe I'm retaining water. I hope that's the case, otherwise I'll be so disheartened when I've been within my calories every day. Anyone else had this experience?

Mmm, yes, Mini Milks are great for those sweet cravings! Boiled sweets are another good idea, thanks for that one :-) My mum says that if you freeze grapes they taste very sweet, like sorbet! I think you're right not to weigh too often - feeling your clothes getting looser is a great...

    Is it just me??

Mine always tells me I've lost weight, even when I've clearly put it on! Bless. But now we're noticing each other's weight more because we're doing Diet Chef together - it's nice to be really seeing a difference :-)

    DOES setting goals really help???

Goals are useful for me, because I have about 5 stones to lose (less now, yay!) so it's nice to have little celebrations along the way. My current goal is to have lost a stone by my graduation ball on the 25th June, and then another stone by actual graduation on the 15th July. I don't know...

    Dreading my holiday

I think most people will be so worried about how they look themselves they won't notice anyone else! Although, Barb, I'm loving the swim dress idea.... shopping spree ahoy, I think! ;-)

    University and how to cope!

I've done uni twice - the first time, I lost so much weight! I ate stir fries a lot (veg from the market is super cheap) and my portions were quite small. I allowed myself a burger and chips with my friends after going to a sports club on a Sunday - the weight came off without me really...

    Healthy vegetable recipes?

Hi all! I've just started Diet Chef a week ago - loving it so far, but I need inspiration for vegetables to go with my main meals. At the moment I'm using my trusty stir fry recipe - it's lovely, but I think I might get tired of it soon! Has anyone got any tasty, low-cal ideas to share? I'll...

    Bride-to-be with lots to lose!

Hi Shellie! I think you'll be fine - just think, if you just lost 1lb a week you'd have lost 52lb by your wedding day. So just a few weeks of losing an extra pound on top of that and you'll be there! My friend lost loads of weight on SW, I hope it works out for you too :-)

Hi Crystel! I'm doing okay - a bit of a cheat over the weekend when I went out with my best friend, but otherwise I've been good :-) Glad to hear you're over your wobble! I'm having one of my own tonight - it's that time of the month and I just want something unhealthy - but I'm going to be...

    C25K

Well done you! I've been considering it - I think I might give it a go when I'm not dragging so much weight around with me :-) I'm a junior doctor and have to run to crash calls - at the moment I need the oxygen more than the patient by the time I get there! I definitely want to do more...

    What's your favourite DC dinner?

Thanks everyone! I'm starting to find my way around the dinners - so far I lovelovelove the mushroom stroganoff for dinner and the chocolate muesli bar for breakfast, and the salt and vinegar popcorn is a lifesaver! I'm not so sold on the oat bars, but they fill a gap when I'm hungry on the...

    What's your favourite DC dinner?

Mmm, that one does look tasty - I ordered quite a lot of it! I had bolognese last night, with stir fry veg done in that 1-cal spray with soy sauce and ginger (yum!) and 25g of spaghetti - I couldn't believe how full I felt! I'm so glad I decided to do this diet :-)

    What's your favourite DC dinner?

First day on DC today - I'm doing okay so far, a little bit hungry but not too bad :-) I'm wondering what to have for dinner this evening - it all looks so yummy! What's your favourite?

    My hamper arrived!

I waited in all day for my hamper - thought it wasn't coming, but at 8pm there was a ring at the door and there it was! 8 cardboard boxes of goodies! (My fiancé is doing DC too so his hamper came as well). I'm quite excited - looking forward to starting our new healthy regime tomorrow. I...

Big hugs to you - I hope you and your little one both feel better soon! I know what you mean about emotional eating - I'm trying to replace food with other little treats (Lush goodies, just like Legomom!) but it is hard.

Good luck, Lilah! I was my friend's bridesmaid last month - it was so lovely, but would have been even better if I was slim. I bet you'll feel fab after your diet!

    Bride-to-be with lots to lose!

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here, with 70lb (eep! how did that happen?) to lose. I'm getting married in July 2014 - it's a long time away because of my work commitments, but I'm glad it gives me time to lose the weight. I have already fallen in love with a dress - now to get as slim as my three...

Finding an old picture of yourself

Me too! Someone tagged me on Facebook, on the beach with a group of uni friends about 10 years ago. I was wearing cut-off jeans and a tiny bikini top - I couldn't believe it was me! I can't wait to be confident on the beach again, even if there are a few more wrinkles these days :-)

    Fat Experiences

Felix, don't let them bother you, you are beautiful! Some people are so rude. I started work in a place I'd worked several years before, and the first thing one of the old staff members said to me was 'Well, you've put on weight!' I was mortified - I wish I'd had the confidence to say 'And...

Anyone doing or done DIET CHEF?

I would like to lose 2 stones or thereabouts by the time I graduate from med school on 15th July. That might be quite an ambitious goal, but it gives me something to aim for - at least I'll be slimmer than I am now for the photos!

Anyone doing or done DIET CHEF?

Thanks Crystel, that's great :-) I'm at my mum's at the moment with her ancient scales, so I'm going to weigh myself properly when I get home and do my profile. I'm nervous!

Anyone doing or done DIET CHEF?

I'm just doing my online supermarket shop before starting Diet Chef - I know you can have veggies, fruit and milk with the diet, is there anything else I need? Also, I saw that Mini Milk ice lollies are only 30 calories each, so I'm considering getting some of those as treats - do you think...
