⚜ Strawberry Madness progress diary ⚜

Oh god the smells are just pure torture in its self 🤣
And lol at the pork pies haha.
it’s weird but I never used to like them but I started to get a taste for them.
But I still hate the ones with the jelly in them.
I normally agree 100% with you and @Ravenous on food but this ^^ jelly in pork pies is essential! I get my friend (who is a butcher) to put extra in my pies!!! Love it :D
 
Could not sleep until 3am today, but I decided I would go to the hills once I woke up.
was hard but I pushed myself and did it woooo
Managed over 24500 steps today. 159 floors.

after that I walked from the hills to the store and bought some more oats 😂 then off home for a long bath!

I hope I can sleep better today because I’m starting to feel sleepy, I really should get into the habit of taking food with me on my walks because earlier on the hills I got so lightheaded from pushing myself up the inclines. At one point I got on all fours and climbed up instead of using the path so I could get a picture.

coming down was harder, really steep. So half way I decided to slide all the way down. Felt like I was a kid again HA.

I do get carried away sometimes like I want it now approach. really need to learn sometimes to let things ease into it more.

Next time I go out even if it’s urban I’m going to bring a protein bar or just something.
Will go the shops tomorrow because I’ve ran out of yogurt nooooo. And fruit and a lot of things lol

Some snacks for going out and about will for sure be on the list.
I want to try get them grenade bars to try or if I can’t find them will come up with other plan.
might even makeup my own ones?

I think we all get that at times, impatience and over eagerness. There's no harm in it because you can recognise it, downhills can be a real hassle for knees though. They are for mine!

Wow, those Grenade bars look super chocolatey! I made some lovely nettle and dandelion bars, obviously not chocolatey but delicious and so good for you! Here's the recipe if you fancy it? Foraging tends to polarise people so I won't be offended if you don't want to! 😂

funny you mention the nettles, one of the buggers got me on my pinky on my way down the hill yesterday Ha.

I saw a lot of bees around the wild brambles so hopefully they should start to fruit soon.
I love foraging too - normally Blackberries and nuts. My French friend was telling me that her father uses Dandelion leaves in salad as there is some health benefits attached to it.
 
Today’s been nice, showed my mum how to make the frittata so she made that for her partner and she had half of what I made yesterday 😆

got some shopping done, couldn’t find the grenade bars, so I’m going to make my own type of snack cookie non bake thingy

Planning on walking again tomorrow if the weathers nice 👍 will stick to the woodland this time

Alright made up some of them cookie things

Toasted oat flour & Sesame seeds, Peanut butter, Coconut oil, Mango whey protein & Honey

415 Calories each should be perfect for long walks/hikes for lunch.
Will have to wait till tomorrow to try them! Smells tropical 🌴

Love the walks you are getting in. Really nice views there. :)

Wish I could have some sort of snack in,instead of fruit. My OH eats Eat Natural bars but if I have one I eat the box of 3 so I keep away from them.
 
I love grenade bars! I don’t get the ones coated in chocolate as I can’t stop myself once I’ve had 1, too much like a normal chocolate bar but the protein flapjacks ones are really good. Very tasty and filling, not sickly sweet and much cheaper x

Not very interesting walks round here in Southampton!
Have to go to the New Forest for some nice walks 😊
I have wild blackberries in my garden still got a tub full in the freezer I picked last year😊 ( must remember to use some in overnight oats maybe 🤔)
Got some new blackberry buds growing nice again already😊
