How is everyone getting on today? I've been out with my mum and treated myself to a kindle as it was on offer and I got money off with my nectar card at argos :) hope that'll keep me busy when I go to bed early to avoid the OH's delicious dinners!

Speaking of which he is currently making fried chicken wraps for dinner and bacon dumpling for his lunches... *sigh*
 
Hey smidge. I've been off plan today due to Mother's Day and kids wanted to make me a cooked brekki. Went gym 1st thing though and stuck to protein rather than carbs so hopefully should be okish lol. Then had coffee with vanilla shake for tea.

Back on plan tomorrow though. Hope everyone else is doing ok xxx
 
Yay another 1lb off this morning! Must not weigh in until next Monday now. Target is 3lb at least to be under 14st7 :)

Well, I spent the night in the bathroom, as my body clearly decided it was time to get rid of some water weight! lol. So tired now today! I was literally up every hour! Couldn't resist a weigh in, and had dropped 3lb since Fri! lol. No idea if it will stay for this coming Fri, but was lovely to see the 17's on the scale :) Haven't seen that for 3 years! I seem to lose a bigger amount every 4th week, so hopefully this is a whoosh week :)
 
Ha ha I think we all know that feeling, laying in bed at 3am deciding if you really need to go or if you can wait it out lol!

Fingers crossed for a whoosh!!
 
Wow, well done Jayne.

I have been a bit poorly again and at the moment I feel so weak and shakey. I am surprised to feel like this after sticking to the diet for so long. I am hoping it is just a blip and it will pass soon! Any suggestions people?

I did lose another pound over the weekend though! :) xx
 
Thank you. It's so great everyone on here understands so you don't get judged when you come back with your tail between your legs lol! Thanks Sparkley, it's a relief to be back to be honest. Official weigh in is Monday but I have had a sneaky weigh in most days this week and have used todays weight on the forum to keep me motivate. You never know though I might lose more by Monday ;) My sister is still in hospital at the moment and in Scotland so miles away from visiting her :( We're off to the seaside for a week in Norfolk. We call it the dog's holiday as he's allowed in the chalet and loves sand lol :p What's the Harcombe Diet? 6 stone really is impressive! I always found in the past when I got close to goal and was feeling like I looked good I would stray more and more, maybe that's what's happening as you look awesome :) I'm going to switch to SW straight after I start to feel that way this time so I can hopefully future-proof my weight loss!!

You're so right - starting at nearly 24stones and in size 26 jeans does make being in a size 18 feel good - even though I still have a long way to go. I feel so much better with 6 stones gone and want to enjoy socialising etc. it's hard to get that focus and determination back that I had at the start. I'll keep sticking with it tho... Slow and steady but will get there in the end.

Harcombe Diet is similar to SW. No weighing or measuring, only eat non processed food, no caffeine, no mixing of carbs and protein/fat at the same meal. So you can have a jacket potato but only with carbs - so a veggie curry or chilli. And you can have as much protein as you can eat, but not with carbs. Butter, cream and cheese all allowed. So a bit SW and a bit Atkins but you can have carb. It has very good reviews. OH has been doing it for 3 weeks now and have lost 9lb and only has a stone left to lose. He's felt full and satisfied and has eaten plenty. Looks like a good long term plan but I need to shift this bulk first!

Hope everyone's having a good week.

Weight is so weird isn't it. On Friday I weighed 18st. On Monday I weighed 18st 4lb having had a Sunday roast on Mother's Day. Today I weigh 17st 12lb. How can it be so up and down!

Tried the gooey chocolate pud today for the first time - very nice but I think I cooked it for too long as a bit rubbery and. It very gooey. A nice choc/cake/pud fix tho. I had it as a free sample so think I might add to my next order.

Lol sparkley,sometimes I think it's best to just stay away from the scales. They never seem to make sense!

Having a good week this week but already nervous about next week... 3 meals out in one week :| it was only 2 but my OH is away so a friend invited me out and I was going to say I'm on a diet but thought I can't let the diet get in the way of my life as I usually do but then I never learn how to cope with these situations when I'm not on a diet!!

Anyway, will carry on doing my best until next Tuesday when the first meal rolls round :)

Eep! Buffet is tho worst! I'm okay with curry, that's what I have Tuesday. Just stick to a good old chicken tikka :)
 
Hi all :) Sorry, not been about for a few days.

Really having to tough it out today, as am ill (again! *sigh*) with a cold (only got better from the last one about a fortnight ago. Flipping germs!), and desperately craving comfort food/stodge/junk. Not feeling hungry, but do seem to have an increased appetite/desire for food compared to other days and cravings are awful! TOTM also due in about a week, so sure that is not helping! Will stay strong though. Weigh day tomorrow! Not sure if I'll have a whoosh week or not. I weighed this morning and was only down a quarter of a lb on 3 days ago (so 17st 11 and 3/4lb), so we'll see what the morning brings. To be honest, anything in the 17's and I'll be thrilled :D
