02/01/15 Starters! Whoes with me????? :)

Well, not the whoosh week I had anticipated, but still a very pleasing 3lb off, taking me out of the 18's and down to 17st 12lb. 3 stone and half a lb lost since 2 Jan :D Bring on week 12 :)

Yay! Well done jayne that's fab. Hope you're feeling better and this makes the cravings subside a bit :)

Much easier day today :) How are you getting on Smidge?

Hope everyone else doing well :)

Not too bad not too bad thank you! Doing lots of cleaning this weekend in prep for holiday lol now just hope my OH doesn't mess it all up!!

Well done to everyone for getting through another week. So far only 1lb lost again this week! Really slow weight loss. Only have 2lbs to go to hit the 2stone mark but it seems to be taking an age. Never mind! Onwards and upwards, have a good week everyone! xx

Hi Moisy. Yep, we've all gone quiet :-/ Hope you're doing okay, and those 2lbs melt away soon :)

Tough week here. Been ill again with yet another cold, which started a week last Wed. Definitely not as bad as the last though, so feeling okay again now. TOTM arrived on Wed evening. Think the combination of both of those things led to awful cravings and I did have a few extra packs here and there, which I could kick myself for now (but won't ;) ). Also think I have a touch of water retention and am also a tad constipated (despite taking extra fibre). Again, I think cold remedies and TOTM have all contributed. Bet you wish you hadn't asked now ;) lol. Still, I can't be too disappointed. I've lost 43.5lb in 12 weeks! :D I'm starting week 13 now, and hoping it will be a lucky week for me. I need a good loss next week!

Hi everyone!

Well done Jayne, every little helps and it's all in the right direction.

I'm still here but not getting anywhere fast... Other than upwards! Seem to have a few good days then fall off the wagon and regain. We seem to have so many social events coming up too - in London this weekend for friends 40th. French bistro tomorrow night and then brunch on Sunday. I used to have iron strong willpower but these days I seem so weak willed when around food - yet annoyed with myself for not being stronger. When I was totally on it I managed social events with ease. Need to get back in control before all my hard work is undone!

Stick with it Jayne, you are doing great! xx

Nice to hear from you both, was getting a bit lonely on here!
Jayne I think you have done brilliantly with your illness this week and overall, you should be very proud of yourself.
Sparkley you will get back in control I am sure, these things happen....no social events for ages and then they all come at the same time and eating is such a social event.

Still not got to the 2 stone, 1lb loss again so 1lb to go....think it is TOTM for me too but still hoping it will go over the weekend.

Keep going everyone! :) xx

Well, I fell off the wagon last night! lol. Didn't binge and didn't have a huge amount of calories, but did have carbs and kicked myself out of ketosis. Got straight back on plan today and have been 100%. Still determined, and totally refocussed. TOTM and illness out of the way, so no reason I shouldn't have a fab week now and a good loss. Onwards I go :) I want my BMI below 40 on Friday's weigh in.

Well done on getting to 2 stones lost Moisy :D

Sparkley, it's so hard sometimes. I think the food demons can really grab a hold of you :-/ I've become a bit of a hermit whilst doing this diet. Would find it incredibly difficult to go out often and stay on track. How is your hubby doing on Harcombe?

Smidge, how are you getting on?

Hope everyone else is okay.

Well done Moisy, that's great news... 28lb is a lot of weight... You should feel so much better to not be carrying that around.

Can't believe how much heavier I feel carrying my extra weight, can't believe I was carrying another 6 stones on top of this around.

Thanks Jayne - it is hard but more frustrating than anything. Weight goes on so fast. I gained 7lb over the weekend. That involved shake for breakfast on Saturday, then 5pm meal at french bistro - I had beef bourginuion and two glasses of wine. Then breakfast at Carluccios on Sunday - poached eggs, one sausage and toast and orange juice. Monday morning 7lb on. Also, we were walking a lot and up and down stairs a lot for the tube, plus we went to a table tennis bar and I was playing all night! So moved around a lot. Grrrr.

You have done very well Jayne, don't be too hard on yourself for the tiny blip.

I have to do something, my bra is slicing me in two and I have a sore on my side from
where it's digging in. I refuse to buy a bigger size! Xx

Sparkley it's most probably all water content and you should lose most of that 7lbs gain within a few days back on track Hun.

I gained 3lbs from my weekend off and had loads to drink. I've also eaten a fair bit this week too so was well justified. Been back on it 1day and have lost a pound so just the other 2 to go lol.

I've set up an April challenge if anyone wants to join me. I really find it helps, although I do have a couple of events going on this month but hey you still gotta live lol xx

Think you're going to have to dig deep soon Sparkley and perhaps put the social stuff to one side for a short while to get yourself back on track? I am sure the fast gain is water weight, but yes, real weight does also creep on when we are not properly on track, and it's such a shame to undo all the hard work from the past. Sadly, been there and done it many times over (as have so many of us). I don't know what goes on in the mind when we can't quite make things click and get back on the wagon. I wish I had the answer for you. Just hope you can find your way forward with it soon.

Week going a lot better here. Been 100% since my blip on Fri evening. Hopefully back into ketosis now. Think I am (not tested) as not hungry and scales were down 1lb yesterday, since Fri. 3 more months to go on this diet! I'm half way there :)

Well done for getting back on track Jayne.
I fall off again last night. I know my trigger is if I row with hubby and he's out of the house. I just can't seem to control myself so end up indulging. Don't know why I do it either as always makes me feel bad :(
Oh well it's done now so back on track today! Xx

Thank you Jayne - I needed that. My problem is convincing myself I'm ok... When I'm not! When we were in London at the weekend the people we met up with we hadn't seen for nearly 3 years - last time they saw me I was 24 stones and a size 24/26 so they were gushing about how great I looked - little did they know that I felt rubbish as 2.5 stones heavier than my lowest weight. But all those compliments make you kinda believe you are ok. I DO need to sort myself out. You were right about the water weight, that 7lb came straight off the next day. I've had two 100% days and trying hard to focus on where I want to be.

Hubby doing ok on Harcombe - he's losing 1lb a week and although initially he was disappointed with that it has been consistent and when he's had a treat, like this weekend, he hasn't gained - which is part of her reasoning with the diet in that because your body is taking in regular meals and not being calorie restricted on a daily basis, when you do have extra it just handles it and doesn't hold on to it thinking it might not be fed again. He's lost 11lb in total and feels much better, he's got about another 7lb to go to be where he wants to be but he's looking good where he is now.

Thanks for the support and honest words Jayne - it's far too easy to pacify on these forums instead of giving a few homes truths!!

Hope you have another great day xx

Sparkley - I'm glad my words helped a little. I completely understand where you are with things right now, as been there so many times myself, but sometimes we need a well meant nudge in the right direction ;) I still think you're doing great though as you are still trying :) Well done on the 2 100% days. Great that your hubby is continuing to do well on Harcombe. Hope you have a great Easter weekend (be good ;) lol)

Slim - It's so easy to sabotage sometimes. Especially after upset and then being alone with temptation. Hope you've managed to get back on track now.

Moisy - How are things going?

As for me, well it was lucky week 13! I lost 2.5lb and managed to achieve 2 mini goals. My BMI is now under 40 (massive achievement for me) and I reached my 15% off. I'm now 17st 8.5lb and have lost 3st 4lb since 2 Jan :D I plan to do another 11 weeks on this diet, before refeed for holidays. Going to give it my all! It's hard, but I have a feeling my real battle will start upon my return from holidays when I'm a lot lighter and don't have anything to aim for. That's when I'm really going to have to push my self discipline.

Hope everyone else doing well. Have a fab Easter weekend everyone. Even if it's not filled with the usual choccy treats! (hmmm, I'm going to miss them lol).

Hi- everyone seems to be doing well and getting their heads around this diet in one way or another. I agree with what you say Jayne about just not having the days off or socialising. This is Easter holidays for me from school and the worst one to have as I am off for 2 weeks and usually use that time to catch up with people for lunch....I have cancelled 2 already! I don't want to blow this, I really can't do it from scratch again. I have yet again only lost 1lb this week so far but over the last 2 weekends I managed to shift another 1 so hope that happens again this weekend! ;)

Jayne you are doing brilliantly and should be so proud and Sparkley, what a good feeling when people make positive comments about your size, remember that and use it to spur you on.
Slim, I hope you are now okay and back on track and I am going to join your challenge because the February one definitely helped me. Although I think I need to be realistic with my target because my weight loss is very slow.

No Easter eggs for me this year......but I have pointed out to my husband which one I want next year!!

Have a great weekend everyone. xx

Thanks Jayne and moisy.
No not managed a 100% day since but not being too hard on myself either.
Have been doing a lot of walking and gym most days, am due to weigh on sun so we shall see if I've lost anything. Tbh I'm feeling rather bloated but totm is leering and I don't seem to be going toilet very much (maybe once a week or so) not sure if I should take something for that?

Well done on your losses ladies and remember any loss is exactly that 'a loss' which is always better than a gain.

Things are still not great at home so not really helping too much hence why I keep bloody eating! Will see what tomorrow brings I suppose, well other than work, possibly swimming with kids etc!!

Have a fab Easter weekend xxx

Hey everyone, hope we are all coping with Easter weekend! I have lost another pound which takes me into the 10s...so chuffed. Keep going everyone.

Slim, hope things improve for you at home, can imagine that must be very difficult. Keep your chin up! xx
