It's just to fill you up so you don't eat as much denser foods like meat & potatoes so you're full but eating less cals. It also keeps you full so you don't always need to snack between meals.

Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't know if there was anything else involved.

thanks for that, i have decided just to have fruit with breakfast, salad with lunch and veg with dinner. is that good enough :)

i am going to look at the book again and make a list of what i like.
when are you meant to eat s or ss food :)

Well alot of superfree veg are also speed anyway, but there are other foods that are speed foods that aren't superfree like quorn and baked beans on green days and some meats and things on original-but yeah, have another read of your book-that will clarify stuff for you x

Techniically, you should have it on your plate to help you exercise portion control, but with fruit thats a bit weird so I would have it beforehand. That way it still does the same job as if it was on the plate.

So just to clarify as I'm new to SW and still trying to get to grips with this, if on EE and I'm having egg on toast for breakfast which I am I could just have some fruit after and that then will count as my 1/3 superfree?? Sorry to ask again

No, you're meant to have the sf with the meal as the idea of it is to reduce the amount of free food! So for example instead of having 2 eggs on toast, have one with some tomatoes or mushrooms maybe?

I don't think I will ever get my head round it !! Been having veg omelette every day thinking it was superfree grrrrr :(

Eggs are still free tho(as long as they're cooked without added fat) so if it had plenty of veg in then it would still be ok! It's quite straightforward to be honest once you understand what veg are superfree-maybe have a re read of your books or chat to your C if still not grasping it :) good luck x
