Last night at group our consultant did a refresh new member talk for everyone.
When she got to the bit about the 1/3 superfree rule, she said it had to be 1/3 of the plate - SEPERATELY.
I questioned this and said that of course, if you were doing spag bol/curry etc with passata/tomato and added veg etc then you didnt have to have it separately, as long as it made up about a third of your overall meal it counted - but she said no - you absolutely must include a separate 1/3 plate portion of veg or salad.
Normally, if my consultant isnt sure on something, she will back down, or say maybe you are right - but on this occasion she was absolutely adamant she was right.
And I am adamant she is not!!
Can we lowly members email SW directly to get an answer on this? I just hate not knowing who is right!!
Incidentally - she also said that the 1/3 superfree rule was a mandatory part of the red and green plans as well - and that this was a change bought in at the same time as extra easy. I disagree again - I know lots of people on here that dont like veg do green and original so they dont have to eat it. 1/3 superfree is about portion control - and with green and original, portion control comes from having measured amounts of of you HEB which are the carbs or meat that are not free food as part of the plan you are following - there should be no need for the 1/3 superfree.
i didnt persue that one too much - I dont do those plans and can only cope with one battle at a time!
