I was drinking a gin and tonic served with cucumber (try it......honest!) and wonering about what superfree food to serve with my tea and realised......it was in the gin

So I reckon that if I drink 3 gins and eat the cucumber while having my curry and rice I have got it sussed!

This has opened up a whole new world of possibilities:

Steak and chips served with sangria
Fish and new potatoes with a jug of pimms (wait for good weather)
chicken casserole with a lovely fruit punch

There you go..........problem solved!

When I was feeling determined to make a big effort in the summer and not to feel like I was missing out I used to make Pimms-less Pimms...... which was slices of lemon, strawberries, cucumber and mint in a glass with ice and water. I even took pots of the mixture and added water to it in work, made me feel quite special - ha ha !!!!

OP, could you suggest a fruit or veg to add to a southern comfort and diet coke? I am keen to stick to this plan like glue!

Oh no... you mentioned Sangria... that's my favourite. Then again, I think it's the red wine I like, rather than the fruit that's in it...
