100lb CHALLENGE

Hi Katie, thank you so much. You are doing fab too - you'll soon be there!

I started off in a size 24/26 jeans and now in a size 18 jeans - although they are getting a bit loose now! It feels great to be a more 'normal' size. I lost 5lb this week which I'm really pleased with... I'm still heavier than you mind!

Got a busy week ahead with a meal out on Wednesday for my birthday, then meals out Friday and Saturday for my step daughters 17th birthday. So will be trying to stick to shakes at all other meals as I find this helps with my losses. It's odd how all the exante meals have the same amount of calories, but for some reason I seem to lose more weight when I stick with just shakes.

Hi Katie, you're doing pretty damned amazing yourself - fantastic start. Bet you can really tell in your clothes that you've shifted those 23lbs.

When I started this last July, 2014 seemed so far away, but time goes by whether you stick to the plan or not and I can't wait for this summer and to be at my goal! It's taken me just over 7 months to lose almost 100lbs so you could have lost your 100 by middle of August if you keep up the motivation and stick with it. Just think, Christmas 2014 we'll both be at our goal weighs!!

Thanks Zoe and Anniem, well semi-good news - I lost the 1lb I needed to hit the 7 stone loss mark, but not the 3lb needed to hit the 100lb mark.

Still pleased though as didn't expect to lose anything after carb-ing out a bit on Friday and Saturday. I want to aim to lose 2lb by Monday as going away on Tuesday to Stratford - only for two days/one night, but my OH booked us a treat, staying in a lovely hotel with evening meal and breakfast and going to the theatre. So I want to enjoy that but without going mad. If I can hit the 100lb lost mark before going it will give me more motivation to stay in control while away. But... if there is a gain from the two days away, I have until the following Monday to shift it. I normally find that if I have even one 'normal' meal in a week I don't tend to lose that week, but a couple of days on TS it comes straight off.

Like this week... I had a bready meal on Friday and a meal out with a couple of glasses of wine on Saturday. TS all other times but still was 4lb heavier on the scales on Monday - hence leaving my official WI until today. But on Tuesday I was 2lb down and today a further 3lb down. I don't believe I had gained 4lb and I don't believe I have lost 5lb - I think a lot is just fluid. Maybe I should show more self control and just weigh once a month like some other people are.... but I need the motivation of seeing the scales moving to keep me going!

Am so happy for you, losing 7 stone is a most amazing achievement, that should keep you motivated on your very well deserved break.

Well done Anne, I would be at my target if I was still losing with you. I am starting Friday one more time, if I find I can't stick to it I'm going on to slimming world need to get some weight off before I start running, I know I can do it but at the minute my motivation is easily swayed :( its a vicious circle I want to start running again to shed some weight but I need to lose some weight to start running or my knees will give up the ghost. Good luck for Monday, I'll start updating Mondays too, everything crossed for you.
 
Thanks Katie and Zoe, here's hoping for Monday! I do feel like I've lost some this week but as we all know sometimes you feel like that but the scales think otherwise!

Zoe - it is soooo hard, I am lucky in that I have just me and my OH, no kids to factor into the equation, nobody to prepare meals for other than myself. My OH is very supportive and is trying to eat healthily at the moment so even when he is eating in front of me its usually something healthy. I don't think I could be so focussed if I was having to prepare food for children as I would be tempted to pick.

Its just getting through those first few days. I have found it hard because I've been having the occasional meal out - which has been lovely but does make it harder to get back into the zone.

I am thrilled with how the weight has come off but really want to get to my goal now and more importantly stay there! I just hope I can keep the motivation up to get there. To be at my goal for 1st July would be fanatastic as it will be a year to the day that I started the diet. We will be in Corfu on holiday on the 1st July and I am looking forward to being at goal and having a celebratory meal and drink. I keep focussing on that and counting down the weeks (18 weeks today until we go), so if I could lose 2.5lb a week I would be at goal. But... struggling to lose that amount each week at the moment. But having said that I have just had a look at what I have lost so far this year and it averages at 2.6lb a week so maybe I can do it.

Katie - you are doing brilliantly, 2 stones in 6 weeks - it's crazy, isn't it?!

AMAZING KATIE!! You're doing soooo well, bet you feel great. Frustratingly stayed the same this week and what with two days away this week and my sisters 50th birthday celebrations next Saturday night at an Indian buffet restaurant I am not too hopeful for a good loss this week - but we shall see. TOTM too so that won't be helping matters!! Hope you have another fab week Katie, you're doing brilliantly xx
