1st Week on LL

Hi,

I'm on the second day of LL officially, it took me so long to start through various different delays with my LLC etc - but I'm finally here.

My LLC advised me start low carbing before starting, which I did and I'm SOOOOO glad as on day 2, I'm in Ketosis and no headaches and not really hungry - although think I'm getting the psychological hunger. I'm just missing munching and the freedom to eat, and some of the food packs are erm...interesting! The chicken soup *ick* and dont even get me started on the nut crunch bar. But the vanilla shake with coffee is ok and the mushroom soup not too bad.

Can anyone tell me does the urge to munch, even when not hungry subside or get a bit better? I'm not normally like this, but only pain the a** side effect I seem to be suffering.

Being on this forum and reading everyone's stories and looking at before and after pictures keeps me sane and I can see it being a lifeline in my next 98 days and counting :D

Welcome to LLC & the forum, this diet is wonderful & your tastes will change over the course of the diet. Some of the foodpacks I disliked in the beginning are now actually quite nice.
I even like the nutcrunch bar now! I do mix half of it with coffee, water & half a food pack to make fridge cake & its delicious.
I don't miss the munching, probably because I have a bar occasionally.
But I still get food cravings, but not as much as in the beginning.
Lots of people use swiss marigold boullion to mix with the soups they dislike, you can get it from any supermarket for about £1.50 and it has the same ingredients as the savoury drink.

Hi first of all I just want to say a big hello to you and wish you all the best for your LL journey. I have been on it 7 weeks now and most days do honestly seem like a breeze ( I do have the odd bleep day still). As cherry plum says your tastes will def change. I foind that when I get an urge for something sweet the water flavourings take that away and also fill me up aswell so although they are expensive I think they are a great investment. Good luck x

Hi Cherry Plum just out of curiosity how do you make that fridge cake it sounds yummy. Have you tried toasting the nut crunch bar and sprinkling a little salt on, that's really nice.

Oooh that fridge cake sounds interesting, I'll have to try that one. Thanks for the advice, it's always so helpful to know you're not the only one struggling.
