Woo Hoo!!! I've got some good news!!!! Yesterday I'd been tidying out my wardrobe and found my body fat scales (hidden there along time ago because having 46% body fat was mortifying). Anyway, they still work so I hopped on:scale: and it's gone down to 31%. Which seemed to me like a great loss but 31% seems high still. so I googled :character00148: Body Fat percentage and found out that at 31% my body fat now falls at the very top of ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!:party0049: I'm sooooo HAPPY!!!

Thanks, I really didn't expect it, given how much I still weigh. But it takes muscle mass into consideration too, which BMI doesn't. Still got a long way to go, but this has spurred me on and I WILL get there.:D

awesome :D well done hon... i can't remember what mine is. i'm going to have to check when i get home. it didn't occur to me that my body fat could ever be 'acceptable' :D

Thanks hun, me neither that's why I googled it cos it still seemed high to me. I'm acceptably fat woo hoo.

:character00238:Hey well done!! It's an amazing feeling isn't it? I really didn't expect to see results like that so quickly. I think body fat is probably the most important figure to look at cos it takes bone and muscle mass into account. My next goal is to get into normal range. Those scales may have just become my new best friend.:worthy:

hee. well done. it's my water percentage that won't change. it seems stuck. my cdc can't understand it. i can at the mo as post hols i've been a bit naff, but i was drinking about 4l a day and it still wasn't rising, ha. ah well. it will catch up in the end i'm sure. i've had a litre of the clear stuff today and at least a litre of other fluids plus grapes so i've done quite well so far. only 2.5 hours of work left to go!! wooo.

I started off with 4 stone of body fat, which went down to 3 stone after a month or so... and it's still 3 stone, even though I've lost over 2 stone now!

My scales lie. :mad:

my body fat weight doesn't go down that fast either. i have over 5 stones of the stuff at the mo and i think i had only a little more when i first started. i keep telling myself that once the boobs start to shift the numbers might go down a bit more... ha.

28% and below are classed as fit & athletic.
I`m currently 32% which is just in healthy.
only 4% to go................woo hoo
i think i started at 40 something % too.

i have far too much boob. faaaaaaaar too much. i think in the last two stone i lost half an inch was off my boobs and it went back on again two weeks later!! HHs BE GONE!!

I know i started this diet with 44% body fat and 7 weeks on its still 44 infact the other day it went up to 46%lol i'm the only cd'r int he world to be gaining fat!
To try to prove this wrong i bought a stand alone BF monitor and that agreed that i am infact still 44%fat. I give up !

That was why I banished the scales to the back of the wardrobe in the first place:giggle:. I'm not getting on them again until I've lost another stone then see what happens - I have a feeling I'm going to be stuck at 31% for a while. :p

ha. you aren't gaining fat hon, but your weight is going down, so the fat you do have will count as more as a percentage. we lose water faster than fat so a lot of our loss is water. after all. i have 5st of bodyfat and i'm supposed to have quite a bit of that even at goal...

don't feel bad. your losses speak for themselves. your fat is going down, it's just that the rest of you is too :D

Lol the best part is that i used to go to the gym 4 times a week so always thought i had a healthy muscle proportion. Sod it! Who cares as long as i get to goal, i could be 100% fat as long as i'm less than ten stone lolol xxx
