3rd week a tough one!

I am 3 days into my 3rd week and craving foods like mad. The daytime is killing me, at night i'm ok as i can lock myself away from food, seeing it, watching people eat and hearing them talk about it. None of this bothered me in first 2 weeks but this week it's getting me down. I don't remember this 1st time round but then i never had 2 easy first weeks either!

I won't pick at anything, if i am going to eat i will make it something worth while but i don't want to give in yet, i still have a stone and half to go. I am not a quitter and i have fab will power(most of the time) i just hate feeling miserable all day because i'm not eating.

These last 2 days have been really hard but i'm hoping that come next week i will have a break through. I have a feeling that i won't lose alot this week and so not even looking forward to weigh in day, it's a day early this week!

Sorry to grumble but no one else understands when they are not on LT, they just tell me to eat something.....helpful, NOT!:confused:

OMG I so remember my first time on LT and how hard week 3 was I had a kinda breakdown cried all day and ate 3 pieces of quorn (which i thought was great coz i could have eaten chips lol) but it does pass alot of people say week 3 is the hardest, dont give up hun I have it to come again , this time hopefully i will be prepared im on day 2 .

Im in exactly the same boat as you are and appear to have gained 1lb...

I could actually cry.. and could actually eat everything in the fridge.. I just want to give up now because I am so disappointed!


But im not going to.. We can do this mrs!!!

I was going to say the results speak for themselves.. but clearly not!!

all we can do is hope that things get better and the pounds drop off!!

Im sure you will do great at weigh in chick xxxx

Sorry you are feeling down. You have done so well so far and I know you can do it. It is hard talking to people about how you feel as they don't understand why you don't just eat something. This diet is so hard at times but so worth it. Hope you feel better soon x x x

I found the third week hard too. I think it's not new any more, the massive weight losses are behind you and your cravings are probably still not beaten. Stick with it - next week will be different again and I'm sure you'll feel much better. You know it works and the ups and downs are just a part of it.

Kaijo- your eating quorn made me smile, not sure why but it did, god i want chips soooo much but they are my main weakness!

Chelly- you really are on board the same train hun aren't you. I'm finding it hard not to eat my sons crisps but that would be ridiculous, even though they smell so good!

Shaz- other people just think it's so easy, i told my mum was hungry today and she said,' i thought your shakes made you not hungry on this diet' !! OH YES IT'S THAT EASY!! OMG if it was that easy everyone would do it and everyone would be thin, not the case! Grrr

Dunlop- you have hit the nail on the head i think, it's not new anymore and my cravings are putting up a major battle with my will power, hopefully i can't beat them.

Thankyou all for the replies, i'm still struggling but you have made me remember i'm not alone and you DO understand how hard this is. Thanks guys!!

stinky,,youve been such a great motivation for me, you can do it, and i know im only going into week 3 on saturday but look how far youve come already. you cant give up, youve just wasted three weeks then. you can do it. were all in this together. great job for coming to vent to us we are the people who can help you. early night or bath if possible?? you can do this!!! we need you around here lol...x

Stinky, hang on and stay strong. Everyone hits a wall after a couple of weeks. We are on a high for the first two weeks thinking wow I can really do this. Then the routine sets in and we start to get edgy and itchy to have food again. I upped my water intake when this happened me. IT happens from time to time. Just go do something else, occupy mind and hands!!! and keep up the water. You have been brill before and you will be the same this time round. Hang tough!!

youre not going anywhere if i have anything to say about it!lol thanks, tomorrows a brand new day, try to keep as busy as possible, wouldnt it be great if we could superglue our mouths for a couple months then thered be no problems whatsoever...just remember you have a stone gone already!! thats alot!!!!....my fingers and toes are crossed too!...exams are going well,one more to go at 4pm tomorrow and then im done.look how time flies!!......sleep well hun, sending positive vibes your way ....and hugs :grouphugg: xx

My last time on LT Wk 3 was a hard week for me and I had a binge...talk about feeling devastated..I remember PM'ing a few people as I felt really ashamed. I eventually told the forum but felt that I had let myself down. I know quite a number of people struggle in week 3...I wonder if it is the fact the novelty has worn off, the big weight losses are usually wk1 and 2 and maybe in our mind we think, oh well, I could be eating and losing the same!!!!

BUT, like you say, you are not a quitter..thank goodness! You only have a stone and a half to go.....just keep going.

Maybe you need to go into your wardrobe....try on some of your clothes;the ones that maybe didnt fit 3 weeks ago! I bet you will find that some of them will fit you now....I do that! It just motivates me..and the ones that still dont fit, I say to myself that if I continue with LT for another week or so, I will fit into them. It is all reward for your hard work I suppose.

At least you are verbalising your thoughts and not just giving in....I am sure you will get all the support on here!

You are doing great and not long to go....take care!

Irishmolly, it is harder on the days on i'm not so busy. I wish i had a bit more support in my life, i live with just my 4yr old who would love me anysize,lol And i see my mum alot but she is total pants!!

stinky, sorry to hear your not tip top!... i have just started splitting my shakes - and thats really helping me.

I remember last time week 3 for me was a killer - nearly caved every hour ! but I got through it - and i know you will too. I can't add to what has already been said, but live each day minute by minute when its difficult.
